Dragonflight City Preview: Valdrakken

Doesn't look bad. Beats Oribos and Ashran residues, of that I'm certain. Still, doesn't really look like a literal city of dragons. You could remove all NPCs from screenshots, maybe change that stained glass a little, and say: "hey, check out this elf city", and I don't think anyone would bat an eye.

The Inn looks weirdly out of place in what is supposed to be an ancient dragon city.

Considering not every Draconic being can fly, and even then some of them would likely love to rest, I'd argue the placement is fine.

Blizzard's city design has gone downhill since BFA.

This City imo looks and feels far better than Shattrath in TBC and most WoW Cities overall, so idk what you mean

This looks incredibly boring and generic. Like they reused old assets, or at least recycled old aesthetics. Not at all what I'd expect from a new expansion hub.

Oribos was at least unique. And though the BFA hubs had their problems, they were also distinct and new in their own way. This is just... bleh.

Oribos was boring asf and missed most of the stuff that made cities feel like "cities". Valdrakkens many dragonflight color areas and many cool stuff such as the Profession areas, the daycares, AH, ACTUAL Inn, etc makes the place feel much more alive.

One is a Swamp area, the other isn't. You definitely don't miss it, you miss the idea of it.

It looks like a dragon city? Half the shit is sized for mortals and not dragonkin or dragons, almost all the shit looks like it's on the ground, and nothing looks like it's built for the quadrupedal dragonkin nor the actual dragons. Just look at the inn image all the stools are too small for the bipedal dragonkin and there's no places for the others to lay/sit down. The only thing dragon about this city is they put some dragon npcs in it.
