So we're a few minutes from the deadline for the second round of bidding, it's understood both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have submitted improved bids.

The details of the Ratcliffe one are unknown but the Jassim one looks to be a 5.5 billion offer plus clearing the Glazer debt, bringing it up to a 6bil total.

I'm sure it'll make the FIFA brigade really happy knowing a bottomless pit of cash is coming to solve all their problems.

He has not done great but you look at just the statistics from yesterday and there's no way a team should lose that game 2-0. 8-2 in shots on goals (14-3 in shots total) and the result was 0-2. Not sure who's meant to put away the goals in this team though.

Spending money in itself does not mean much if you're not spending it right. Despite all the money spent you could still argue Chelsea has a questionable goalkeeper, no goalscorer and a big fat questionmark in the middle of the pitch (Enzo aside).
