Also also to note, there's no way to satisfy every weird segment of the gaming population, because some segments want literally the opposite thing of what other segments want. So that would be an impossible obligation.

What I said was pretty simple and straight forward. Blizzard is only obligated to satisfy whatever segments of the gaming population that they hope to garner monthly subs from.

Like how do you think they will get monthly subs from segments that they want to play their game if they aren't satisfying those segments?

I never argued they should? My argument is that if you're playing at weird ass hours then maybe it's time for some introspection about how important a MMO is to you if you can only play at strange hours. Further, while Blizzard should want to have as many subs as it can within reason, if you're arguing that you need the RDF to satisfy your degenerate play times then maybe the problem isn't Blizzard.

People talk in groups ALOT without RDF, dungeons are full of chat. In classic group members chat to each other and sometimes they even forget to pull and no one says "go go go" in dungeons. People dont want to clear dungeons fast and thats the social aspect.

Nope.. I am 80 almost week.. cleared few 10s of HC, we had talk maybe in one group and only with tank in whisper..

More people dont even say "Hi" or "ty bb".. they just want go dung and be done with it. When we were world tour HC, all 12 dungs with one group, nobody was talking, when travelling between dungs it was AFK flying and "sum" requests..

Without RDF its just same boring experience in faceroll dungs just more time consuming in AFK mode (flying to dung or waiting to summon). Most of players dont even bother whisping me, just request join, mostly dont even read description.

And this is reason, why I am mainly playing with my IRL friends or with my guild, with people I know for years from original Wotlk and retail.

Any social, live open world, or world pvp aspecs are just bs.. there is no world PVP, there is no social aspect thanks this crappy LFG tool. I am playing on realm, where is 95% Ali pop, PVP is already dead there. World is alive because dailies, leveling etc.. social aspect is in 2022 dead, players want gear and be done ASAP. Those who want social experience has already guild for it or own social group of friends.

And no, I am not asocial player, I like to talk with others, if they want too. I dont even care about their gear or performance, because its one week from release, so I dont care, I am going in "chill mode" with "no rush" in description, so "noobs" friendly group. This game is just different than it was back in 2008, we changed, players changed.

And i'm telling you, not in classic or retail does that matter fuck all for anything, it's just a time sink and there's no real social interactions being made anymore, thats some rose tinted glasses for a community that doesn't exist and will never exist again, players changed and so did the game.

I tank and my wife heals, so we regularly recruit people who are respectful, fun to be around and do more than spam 1,2,1,2. We watch if they interrupt, stun, put out DPS etc

We have recruited a lot of cool people who have permanent raid spots.

So if you feels there is no social interaction then perhaps it is you.

Also people forgot how much DPS whined and complained about queue times. So when I hear people whine about spending an hour LFG then I know they forgot how long a DPS waiting for RDF

I didn't see a problem with rdf till kick restrictions started. That was the birth of the dead weight player you HAD to carry because he had kick protection in the hours.

I am really not sure why people are still arguing on the topic. Whether RDF had any impact or not on the "social aspects" of the game is entirely irrelevant to the reasons Blizzard didn't implement it since it's purely for pacing purposes (aka longer subs), they just didn't want people to "gear too fast" (their words, not mine). Beyond that, they had to throw a soundbite out there to have people arguing about and distract them from reality, same like "meaningful choices" etc which once it started hurting their finances they then "saw the light" and gave what the majority of the players wanted. Expect the same with this, if enough people drop their subs and claim the lack of RDF as the reason, it will come back faster than you can blink. If not, then it will not. All the rest is just bollocks that people just like to argue about.

The bold sure seems like you are saying that. I think most people would read "there's no real social interactions being made anymore" as being very similar to "no social interaction while playing a dungeon"
