Rated solo queue for Arenas in Dragonflight

In Dragonflight there will be solo queue for rated Arena. Not sure how it works, as it seems you cannot choose whether you want to be in a 2v2 or 3v3.

Next please: rated 1on1 arena for dps specs.
The dueling tournament was fun to watch and the spec and class diversity was there. 1on1 will be as unbalanced as 2on2 or 3on3 already is, nothing new.

    Rated 1on1? Don't be silly.

It's going to be rated solo shuffle which was already confirmed by blizzard multiple times. Current solo shuffle is sort of beta for rated solo arena in DF.

Ok, so it's this shuffle thing then.

I'm wondering if Prot Palas will be absolute top tier here. They aren't as good as a healer in a 3s team, BUT in solo shuffle they enforce a tank in the enemy team too, and if that tank isn't also a Prot Pala they should have the edge.

Disparity between Prot Palas and other tanks in grouped PvP, when they take the role of a healer / supporter, is way larger than between all of the healers.

On the other hand, if this will be the case, then this advantage ceases to exist at higher ratings, as it will be Prot Pala vs Prot Pala only.

This was also covered by blizzard, prot pala and guardian druid have their own bracket, seperate from blood dk, prot war, brm monk and dh tank. This is also how it works now in solo shuffle.

Ideally all tanks should be balanced within same role or removed from solo shuffle, so don't get your hopes high for having OP spec for it. If it becomes rated they will put more effort into balance for sure.
