the Opening of the Dark portal is indeed the start of the counting, from the perspective of most humans/orcs in warcraft(and us, casue we need to have a date that sorta makes sense and Warcraft 1 is the best one, cause thats where warcraft started with the opening of the dark portal)

regarding lili, well they have been notoriously bad with child models(anduin was like the standard human child model for ages) despite being like 12-15 at certain points prior to him getting a new model.

Mostly pointless, for reasons Danuser even obliquely acknowledges. If they want to do world changes only in-game then any longer period would become incongruous with the lack of changes to the setting, but having such a short time means it's only good to age up some characters, otherwise moot. Salandria and Thrall's kids are the likeliest culprit. But given how chummy absolutely everyone in the expedition acts when they were killing each other just a couple years ago, it's too short a period. Should've bitten the bullet and kicked it up more years and put out free clarifying stories on the site like with Cataclysm, Steve.

While we're on that point, the official WoW timeline is an incomprehensible shambles.

Chronicle made all that cosmic build up, all that ancient talk about the wars and whatnot, it made 25 years of story from the 3 RTS games...only for WoWs heroes to come in midway through Volume 3 and bombard the fucking story and its villains like a bullet train LMAOOO

I remember a certain bald slug ex-lawyer mentioning something along the lines of there being no time skip. Weird how that works out. Well I was in favor of a small one anyway, so I don't have any issues with it. I can't even bring myself to write something biting about Danuser, even though he still keeps going on about the book closing thing. Anyway, it's not like I take the story "serious" anymore, that ship finally sailed in SL. For all I care we visit unicorn rainbow dimension next, just gimme decent dungeons for m+ and gear I actually want to transmog.
