    Dungeons and Raids

    • Mythic+
      • Return to Karazhan: Lower
        • Developers’ note: We wanted to give players time to re-learn mechanics in returning dungeons before making large nerfs, however, Lower Karazhan continues to stand out as an outlier in difficulty so we are making larger changes to bring it in line with the difficulty of the other dungeons in Season 4.
        • Several Skeletal Ushers are taking a break from protecting the Opera Hall.
        • Several Skeletal Ushers have relocated to account for their partners taking a break.
        • Arcane Warden and Skeletal Usher now contribute more credit to Enemy Forces.
        • Spectral Valet’s Demoralizing Shout cast time increased to 3 seconds (was 2 seconds).
        • Coldmist Widow’s Caustic Venom damage over time damage reduced by 50%.
        • Phantom Guardsman will no longer cast Shield Smash.
        • Ghostly Chef will no longer cast Cleave.
        • Ghostly Baker will no longer cast Rolling Pin.
        • The following abilities will no longer be cast on a nearby target if their current target is out of range:
          • Forlorn Spirit’s Shadow Rend
          • Ghostly Chef’s Roast
        • The Opera Hall: Westfall Story
          • Gang Ruffian’s Poisonous Shank initial damage reduced by 20%.
          • Gang Ruffians and Shoreline Tidespeakers will no longer trigger Storming or Explosives after being defeated.
          • Toe Knee’s Dashing Flame Gale initial damage and damage over time reduced by 30%.
          • Mrrgria’s Thunder Ritual damage reduced by 30%.
        • Moroes
          • Garrote damage reduced by 15%.
          • Garrote will now correctly display its duration.
        • Attumen the Huntsman
          • Mounted Strike will no longer be cast on a nearby target if his current target is out of range.
          • Resolved an issue where Attumen the Huntsman would resume casting Intangible Presence.
        • Maiden of Virtue
          • Sacred Ground damage reduced by 20%.
          • Holy Bulwark absorb reduced by 15%.
      • Return to Karazhan: Upper
        • The following abilities will no longer be cast on a nearby target if their current target is out of range:
          • Forlorn Spirit’s Shadow Rend
          • Rat’s Poison Fang
        • Resolved an issue that would cause Chess pieces to regenerate health while in combat.
        • The Curator
          • Power Discharge’s visual effect now more correctly reflects where it will impact.

    It's really nice when those "hot fixes" for that damn opera events come when the week including them is over. And why the hell didn't they add that disabled adds stop generating explosives, that whole event was hell. (with some of those balls even spawning inside the wooden staffage where they couldn't be seen)

    Some of the fixes probably required server maintenance.

    Lower karazhan is probably about 3 weeks away from all the NPCs having no abilities at this rate

    Well, it was to be expected. M+ has evolved, can't expect old M+ dungeons to just work the same way they used to within a new context, new scaling, etc. Same is true for the dungeons that never existed as M+.

    That's great that they fixed the explosive spawns on the opera event right after the explosive affix is gone and in all likeliness we might not even see explosive on that event in the whole remaining season anymore. Luckily they gave us enough time to relearn the mechanics.

    The nerfs on kara lower are fair. It is indeed the only dungeon that is such a huge outlier in terms of difficulty compared to the rest and the mechanics work very very wonky with the affixes

    i timed the only lower 15 i did that week as a bear just tell every1 to focus explosives, we 2 chested it, but these fixes are great imo

    most liekly this season will be just 12 weeks so we will never see this combination again aka tyranical + explosives

    Love it how people are thinking that nerfing Lower Karazhan is too much, while Lower Karazhan is probably hardest dungeon right now.
    Nerfs are totally fair because it was clearly overtuned.

    8 on Kara last week felt harder than 14 on other dungeons! Hell, even train is too easy.

    The nerfs are way too much, why are they removing some abilities that you can out right avoid without losing anything? Some of the abilities hit a bit hard, sure, and visuals could be improved but this is just stupid.

    This. So much this. We literally +2d my friends grimrail 15 and went with the same party to a lower kara 9 and barely made it in time with all the fucking bullshit. Explosives in lower kara was not fun at all.

    i wonder if the price of a +15 U Kara and L Kara are going to go down now that they got nerfs
