    Best Bear Guide

Just returning after a few years away. If I decided to main my bear again, what guide should I be looking at? Also: I know I'll need to update addons, weak auras, and macros, etc. Anyone have favorites to recommend? Thanks.

Probably IcyVeins would be your best bet. They have some decent guides for all the specs that are updated for each new patch.

There is only one true guide to playing a druid that you need.

    Stay away from icyveins.

    Use this guide:
    https://www.wowhead.com/guardian-druid-guide

Google "dreamgrove guardian discord" and join that.

Icy Veins is an excellent starting point. Although, following their guides for Diablo 3, I've found that the advice they give isn't always accurate once you start hitting cutting edge content.

So do follow guides, but remember to think for yourself once you move to more advanced stuff.

I've had the opposite issue, where sometimes the guide assumes the reader is doing more advanced stuff than they actually are. For Diablo 3, for instance, I rarely push into triple digit GRs, so I can focus less on survivability and more on speed (some guides have speed farming variations, but not all). I think the advice for thinking for oneself is spot on, but I encourage it as soon as you feel comfortable with the spec and then adapt to the situation you need (e.g. for guardian raiding, adjusting based on what is/isn't needed for the raid comp).

It's a good thing that wowhead guides normally have a "beginner" section on their guides.

Icyveins is and has always been trash, don't bother with that website.
