    Lightbulb New PC for WoW Dragonflight - 2k UltraWide

    Building a gaming PC mainly for WoW in UltraWide 2k (3440×1440)

    CPU = AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
    GPU = Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB

    Mobo = MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4
    RAM = Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory

    SSD = Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2 TB M.2-2280
    Case = NZXT H510 Flow ATX Mid Tower Case
    PSU = Corsair RM750x (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold
    Cooler = Cooler Master Hyper 212

    My main 3 games are WoW, PubG and Dota2, and I don't have any triple AAA games on my horizons.

    I'm hoping this new PC build will last me ~5 years until a brand new build from scratch.

    Ideally I would like to get this by Dec 2022.
    Would you change anything about the build without blowing up the $ too much?
    Is it better value to get the Ryzen 5600x > 5800x3d instead?
    Is this build good enough to run WoW in 3440x1440 max settings?
    or would you just wait a few months and get an AM5 build?

    Going to be a tad pedantic, i guess, but the only way to change improper usage is to call it out:

    There is no such resolution as 2k (well, there is, but its purely used in cinema). If there WAS going to be a resolution called "2k", it would be 1080p - as the 1920 rounds up nicely to 2k; 2560 does NOT round easily in either direction, and 3440x1440 is definitely not a "2k" anywhere in sight.

    Generally, consider WQHD (3440x1440) to be just shy of 4K in terms of the horsepower to drive it. It is about 78% of the pixel total as 4K.
