I have to admit, although I am somewhat lukewarm on dragons themselves, some of the YouTube reviews (and even some of the reviews here) have slowly swayed me into strongly considering returning to the game, and I haven't really played (other than briefly as a Trial account) for a long, long while!! At least it's much better than the awful previous expansion which I mostly didn't play!

They're still offering 30 extra days if you purchase ANY version of the new expansion by January 2nd!

P.S. And I think that's when this mount also goes away, along with some of the older mounts and pets.

I wonder how this expansion will end, but at least it has started off with a promising beginning for lots of players!

"You see, there is balance in all things. Wisdom etched in our very fur: Black and white. Darkness and light. When the last emperor hid our land from the rest of the world, he also preserved...our ancient enemy, the mantid. So it is with your Alliance and your Horde. They are not strong despite one another; they are strong BECAUSE of one another. You mistake your greatest strength for weakness. Do you see this?"

Already unsubbed, for now. Just not feeling it. Endgame outside of instances mostly consists of a zergfest mob-tagging competition, and a handful of world quests. I'll wait and see what Blizzard do with updates.

I mean that's been wow for 15s years now. Give bastard bonds a try I've been enjoying it.

I haven't enjoyed DF - It's sad because I was SUPER excited for it and love dragons - even have one tatted on me.

My first tank is an alchemist and a DH. I suffered through maxing alchemy. Fine? Now what? Feels directionless. I also have done M+ and raid- my luck is very bad and I keep receiving mastery gear on a DH tank.

But hey - you know who can use mastery? Paladin so I dust off my old paladin tank, whom I feel was happy to see me. I find out I have to farm a bunch of events for my JC recipes so I can go farm mats for my jc recipes. But oh - each time you pick an herb or mine a mine, quality feels random and boring.

I don't like formulas hidden from me and have found the expansion needlessly complex. That's just my opinion, but I decided to go play another game. The frustration isn't worth it.

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh and in doing m+ - I wouldn't test raid yet- I get no gear. Just to get the bad gear I got on my DH took grinding whatever keys I could find. Survivability is an issue without reasonable gear.

Was having fun until i hit 70, and i absolutely loathe this new profession system.

Tried the 3 day trial, it's pretty great but sadly my pc of choice is an old cheap laptop dubbed "cracktop" that up until now was capable of running WoW, if just at the barest of settings.
Sadly Dragonriding pushes it beyond its limits, or rather does so since an update installed a few days ago, causing random short fps freezes and spikes, leaving you to guess how your character moves in the meanwhile.
Curiously it doesn't respond to tinkering on my side, neither of the graphical capacities and settings nor of the connection, so it might not just be an issue on my side since i did hear some others experiencing similar issues.

Oh and its LGBT+ stuff is really rather obnoxious, but that's no dealbreaker since the rest is sufficiently good.

Haven't seen the endgame yet obviously, but judging by some comments the rewards structures are yet again an issue, sadly.
This is a signature of an ailing giant, boundless in pride, wit and strength.
Yet also as humble as health and humor permit.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage Slam must be destroyed.

The complexity of it is absurd. I can't believe it made it into the game.

I'm seeing a lot and I mean A LOT of content creator sweaty push in this, where they ignore everything that has been a problem with DF (profession exploits, profession self-bricking, other exploits, nerfs, drama, other concerns) with the game. I wonder if they are getting paid for it. Nobody is this blatantly ignorant.
Whenever I hear "another massive W for blizzard!" with the suggestive face they make, my inner cringe flies right up to my throat.

I am bored and I absolutely despise the new crafting system.

Easily by far my favourite expansion. Compare to this time in Legion, we were farming random legendaries, infinite AP, titanforging from WQs, artifacts with a tree with a complete illusion of choice. It was a complete joke. DF is already off to such a good start with the road ahead planned out.

Thank god they abandoned most of what Legion implemented.

  11. #511
Right. After a month or so I'm twiddling my thumbs most of the time.

It's a bit boring and empty, isn't it? At the very least I'd like WQs to refresh daily. I'm going to park my main until the next major content patch, and work on alts for a bit. Guild activity has dropped off dramatically since launch.

You think 4 stats and 3 prices of gear, and a couple talent points is absurd?
Bro what version of wow you playing if even the base game is not "absurdly complex" if those simple parameters make it so.

    4 stats try 12
3 prices of gear try 12
Couple talents? Try multiple whole talent trees.

Bro the profession system is not at all complex, not even close to the base games complexity.

I only care about the PvP side, which is probably the strongest point of the expansion imo. The honor gear scaling is amazing and the classes I play feel great. Solo shuffle has been a major win as well. I'm basically able to play the game exactly how I want to; no bullshit systems or chores I need to do weekly. Just log in and queue.

The only downside isn't really Blizzard's fault...there are not enough healers to fulfill the solo shuffle demand so the queue time for DPS can be.....rough. I've started healing for now but I definitely hope they introduce some better rewards to incentivize more healers.

I have a PhD in biochemistry, 'bro', and yet the profession revamp is beyond me. Adding complexity doesn't always make things good. It often just makes them more complicated.

Genuinely curious what you find complex about them?

Sure the first time you open your specialisation and profession journal is a bit much especially compared to the super bland pre-df state of professions.

But just taking 10 minutes~ to read through the tooltips and following the ingame tutorial quickly unraveles that there isn't much behind it, it's mostly just a facade to have some progression towards crafting stuff more/with less ressources/at a higher rank.

But then again I know that WoW players hate reading..

I'm addicted again. I haven't felt like this since MoP. Easily one of the best expansions so far, but we'll see how it goes in the coming months.
I don't feel like I have to login every day to keep up, but I want to login! I've completed the normal raid, a few heroic, having a blast in M+ despite the early issues, farming rep, fishing, cooking, other profs...everything just feel great and worth doing.

    It's amazing.

I've dipped my toe into the starting zone, got to wrathion's little throne room and stopped right there at 62.

My god, how is it possible that blizz wrote almost exclusively in excruciating levels of trash. Blizz was never really strong with dialogue but every word any character has uttered was pure undiluted cringe. I regret having listened to any of it. Wrathion specifically juist acts as if we trust him like simpletons.

I'll probably give it another try but just ignore the dialogue/cutscenes for most characters. It's just so bad.

Best start of any expansion by far, easy leveling, super easy to gear and catch up, and nothing mandatory, so far it's perfect, just logging, do a key or two, do the weekly raid and move on, just beautiful

I have no PhD yet I find it fairly simple to understand with a little reading. Strange.
