Basically, it's not so much that we're the chosen ones, it's more so that the Progenitors put those relics and whatnot in place for mortals to use if the Universe ever hit that type of eventuality. As for the Maw Walker stuff? That's just an eventuality Death guys see as a "prophecy". It's akin to IRL prophecies and whatnot. A lot of it is BS, a lot of it isn't, etc.

As for why we in particular are the ones to activate said relics? Idk, I think Azeroth was given a special Progenitor gift tbh.
Shadowlands was such as fail and honestly if they only did a xpack around Revendreth only and make it that dreadlords are actually invading it would probably be a lot more epic. The only part I liked of shadowlands was Revendreth

I liked the deathly origins of the Dreadlords tbh. Honestly fit them better imo, especially since they didn't fit with Disorder at all. They were way too cunning for such an chaotic power, ya know?

Besides, the Dreadlords having a more vampiric nature to them beyond just mere design? Fuck yeah!

Besides, them scheming across the Cosmos fits with the old lore perfectly.

also their strong connection with necromantic magic, which is not something that is typically very "fel". The Dradlords being beings of Death is actually one of the good developments of SL.

What I hope that they do (while keeping WoW alive until its inevitable death), is make a new Warcraft game. Warcraft IV would be welcomed, but it is not what the franchise needs. Warcraft needs a new massive project for younger audiences. It is a very old franchise. It needs to reach a new public.

IMO, the best that they can do, as I have said multiple times before, is an online singleplayer action RPG experience with multiplayer elements. Again, Genshin Impact is the perfect example. It does not have to be exactly that, but something similar. They do not even need to have a massive world to start (Genshin started small and now it is massive). The world is already there, the lore too, the characters too, they can tell a different story within WoW's current timeline or move to a different period of history.

Let us create our own character and see Azeroth in a new, amazing, more detailed and narrative way, with current generation graphics and combat.
Honestly the thought of playing through Arthas' story but as a single player RPG ala God of War style is cool enough I wouldn't care that I already "know" the story.

I think Blizzard should go back to their roots and make a single player game again. When was the last time they even had a game with a single player campaign? Starcraft/Diablo 3?

Revendreth's visuals could have been a Nathreza zone

No. Nathreza was full of obsidian buildings, and Illidan apparently blew it up so much, it ended up being like Outland or so. I'm sure we'll see it in a future expac, and I'm sure it'll have Revendreth-esc architecture, but I don't think Revendreth being Nathreza (Or at least part of it) would've worked tbh.

Cool, but I think I would prefer Stormrider XXXXXXX instead over what we are getting. XXXXXX The Stormrider.

Starcraft and Diablo 3 were mainly focused on the multiplayer aspect, especially Diablo 3, which was an online game only.

Blizzard does not do singleplayer games. I would love them to do them, in any of their franchises, it would be absolutely awesome. But it will not happen. That is why we just can aspire to a singleplayer online game with multiplayer elements (Diablo 4, probably the new survival game). That is the way to go.

Warcraft as a franchise has such an immense potential. They should start to make more games about it.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

oh hell naw about mounts and paragon boxes - My most hated thing from Legion are paragon boxes farm that had cool mounts, i still remember this very tedious grind to valarjar for months of gametime to finally get it, it wasn't a happy moment because i got it, but because this awful grind ended.

im honestly okay how it is in DF, but they just need renown account wide.

Account Wide renown effectively kills all content a few days into any new content. There has to be a reason to still earn rep or the game will be very stale and content lite like WoD. Paragon boxes are that way. And with alts you would earn them much faster.

I dunno, in my opinion account wide renown wouldn't kill all content that dies anyway even without it being account wide, why? Because new content gets forgotten each patch and people get bored of it because how it's done.

Renown should just be one done thing for all chars, there should be other type of content that will get people occupied than RNG 10k rep paragon boxes.

I think better gold would be a better reward than adding mounts, pets to these rng heavy boxes.

They sow chaos, convince cities to burn to the ground, so they're perfect for the disorder faction.

Or maybe just don't tie mounts to RNG drops that you can only roll once every couple weeks on a character? That's not good gameplay and it's very obviously a carrot on a stick tactic. They could just as easily go back to the old method of using currency to buy mounts. That way players at least know when the insufferable grind is over.

I would say they could, but after Warcraft 3 Reforge... that's no longer possible.

Not unless their sister company Blizzard Albany (aka formerly known as Vicarious Visions) decides to be the ones in charge of their single player games. The main Irvine branch though? Should just stick to multiplayer... but that's not for this kind of discussion should just be saved for its own thread.

As a software engineer I love how you try to give this thread a little dev flavour xD

So, could it still be for a prepatch event? Like burning of teldrassil? "Crossing of the storm" or something?
    Zorn | Vynd | Pheraz | Sylwina | Mondlicht | Eis | Blut | Emerelle - Plus 20 more...

There are literally hundreds of determinstic and steady progress mounts. It's fine for some of them to be low, raw RNG.

I think it's going to be a race unlocked along with the mount. Possibly two reward for Silver and Gold.

Yeah. All the Gold Racing Achievements give titles, so it makes sense.

It's usually "X Racer", so "Storm Rider" kinda falls into the usual naming scheme as well. Except "Storm Rider" is a title someone would actually use compared to "Eastern Kingdoms Racer", a title I would assume is currently used by 0 people.

Low RNG mounts would be alright if they were Pseudo RNG.

My partner has been camping Arachnoid Harvester for 3 years, killing it every day and still no mount.

It's not even a cool mount or anything either. There's no benefit to it being rare either.

I means sure, they were massive manipulators and whatnot, but their way of doing things deviated a ton from the normal demons, whose entire nature was to be chaotic and disorderly. That's why I think many of the Dreadlords went to Disorder to begin with, since due to their nature, they could easily be seen as "disorderly" by most.

    - - - Updated - - -

However, the truth is that they're not of Disorder, they're of Death. And I think their deathly nature suits them just fine.
