If they want to make "random" maps, then perhaps yes. But I can't see how is it a mess to design a battleground similar to Temple of Kotmogu or Eye of the Storm, but with 3 or 4 starting points, instead of 2.

Even if we get no revamp or anything, they absolutely need to do an Alterac Valley visual update. It should have happened years ago, they pretty much have every asset they need for it.

All of the playable races are in dire need of character development.

Just off the top of my head for Alliance.

    - Humans: Have a wide cast of characters but outside of Genn, very little have any nuance.
    - Night Elves: The NE heritage storyline wasn’t the best indication of what could come.
    - Dwarves - I think it’s time to age up Dagran in game and explore his character. There’s a lot of diverse Dwarf characters that could and should get development such as Moira, Falstad, Muradin, Kurdran. I don’t know why we’re stuck with Dwarf characters like Toddy instead. Also some more focus on Dark Irons that isn’t just Thaelin.
    - Draenei: Probably the best position out of all the Alliance races, development wise. Velen is a decent character, and we got plenty development of Draenei characters in WoD and Legion. We’ll hopefully get some more with a spotlight on how Draenei society struggles to adapt with Manari, LF and Broken.
    - Gnomes: Has there been any news on Mekkatorque after BfA? They serve their role well as the comic relief Alliance race, I don’t really think anymore is particularly needed.
    - Worgen: I imagine we’ll see more with the hopeful Gilneas reclamation event. However outside of Genn who is probably the best written character on the Alliance side, they don’t get much representation. Hopefully the Bloodfang pack are reintroduced at some point.

That’s not even getting into both the Orcs and Trolls over on Horde side who are in desperate need of some new blood in terms of characters.

Horde needs more rexxar in main storyline, i want some badass CGI cinematic with rexxar in it and misha.

Still holding my high hopium lvls for Rexxar questline finally bringing ogres or mok'nathal to the horde as playable race or allied race next expansion or 10.2.7 as preorder to lvl while waiting for new release.

Sure, that's why we get solo q rbg's within the next 2-3 seasons, and that's why pvp is still the only part of the game that has true seasonal fomo on an unmatched scale - because "Ion doesn't care for PvP".

I’m embracing the idea that maybe the next expansion is us going beneath the existing areas and finding new underground zones. Just like Zaralek is under Dragon Isles, Undermine is under Kezan, and Azjol Nerub is under Northrend. What if new zones like Khaz Algar is under the Eastern Kingdoms? What if we use dragon ride through tunnels to get to those locations?

I dunno, I simply don’t buy the notion that we’re going to another lost continent controlled by Titan constructs and dragons.

Velen was decently written during Legion, but we’ve seen very little of him since.

    I personally like Vyranoth.

A character guided by her principles more than by her allegiance. If they keep that going she could be an interesting uneasy ally.

Don't like that idea tbh, having zones split up like that rarely is a good idea or works out well (see Cata/SL)

Not only a visual update, they should do what they did with than one pandaren bg - completely revamp it, including achievements. Half of them aren't even doable anymore because AV changed so much since WotLK.

    Maybe unpopular opinion, but Pandaren.
I mean their culture was developed around being super chill with everything to surpass the Sha. But what now? The Sha threat is over. They also don't seem to have any form of government apart from the ghost of the emperor that still kinda hangs out with them.

If its official - well, they have already done fucked up with promotion. This piece of armor doesnt make me want to pre-order it at all.
Hey so uh what if it's WoW classic transmog. It's not 100% out of the realms that classic and retail get some shared content or promotion.

Turalyon has been consistent as a character IMO.

Aaaaaand... That's it. Maybe Khadgar? Why they brought him back for DF, again?

Just hire someone from FFXIV to learn to develop characters and a story.

I’m not sure this is pertinent to this thread so lets not go down this route in this particular thread.

The people of pandaria have a government. It's the August Celestials.

We’re discussing upcoming expansion content and speculation, not sexual assault. If you want to discuss that I’m sure there’s a thread somewhere on this forum for that.
