Always liked the WotLK lore that the "Curse of Flesh" was just Old God propaganda, and actually a normal development for the "seed races", becoming more "of the planet" with emotional ties, turning into better protectors of the Wordsoul than the robotic Titanforged.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

As far as Tyr goes we pretty much find a backup and download him into a new body there no soul stuff involved.
Either way it doesn't matter. Living rock is still already infused with spirit. That's what makes giants & elementals alive in the first place.

Spirit and souls are not the same thing. Spirit is part of all life but not every thing thing at is alive has a a soul.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

What grinds my gears is that sometimes these Hero Talents force less customization. At least for Elemental Shaman, if you pick Far Seer then you have to pick the "fire build" talents, and if you pick Stormbringer, you have to pick the "storm build" talents. I will never understand why these were not just cosmetic options, so players could continue to pick the talents they want.

Because peeps also want new talents/abilities going into next xpac, as shown with complains we had that 2-3 expansions in a row didn't add anything. And adding them in a separate, smaller tree wont screw over main section.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Yeah, no clue why we have to argue about this tbh. If our earthen wouldn't have souls, how would they come back from death via spirithealers (who are canon)? Or are they just auto hardcore chars lorewise? xD

The problem is that this expansion doesn't have a lot of new features so they were forced to punch up the talents in marketing. When in reality they are just new talent trees.

If they were so worried about TWW being light on features they should've marketed more about Midnight, IMO. Or marketed more about future patches instead of being coy and cutesy about Harronir (unless that is why they allowed them to be datamined, to reveal them without revealing them)

I didn't claim that: You did. You made a post claiming the curse of flesh gave people souls. Then you replied to me refuting that with a connection between spirit & the curse of flesh. Both my claims were that the connections you're drawing are irrelevant because the Earthen have souls, demonstrably.

I’ve never mentioned the curse of flesh what are you on about.

whoah I'm glad you've shared this. It's quite dizzying to be faced with this kind of attitude.

As far as we are aware, it does. It's just not always a mortal soul.

I mean spirit is in every thing a tree a bush a flower, Mabye it’s touched on in some Druid content or book but I’m pretty sure there isn’t a que for the processing of birch trees in the Sl or any other plain.

Not necessarily. Stoneborn require Anima to come to life, but they ostensibly don't have souls. They are only extensions of whomever made them.

People and things in the Sl aren’t alive it’s the realm of death….

Surely Xal’atath’s words that the world soul has long eluded her suggests she’s more likely to be a void lord than just a lieutenant of one?

I think it's going to end up being that the Black Empire wanted to do something different to the World Soul than Xal and Dimensius (who may just want to eat/consume it). So the BE put Xal in the dagger so she couldn't rat on them to the Void Lords.

By the time you've fully upgraded your gear, you'll be soloing most raids on normal and at least some bosses on HC. And still only take slightly longer than in LFR.

SoO solo is impossible though. They undid the Galakras change that made it possible to down him with one cannon.

N'zoth releasing her from the dagger speaks against this theory, but i still kind of agree. Xal said that the titans didn't understand the void and most of what we know about the black empire is at least to some part manipulated by the keepers or titans themself. It wouldn't suprise me if the nature of the old gods and voidlords will be changed somewhat in the next expansions.
