Ah, see, but what you actually meant to type was:
And yes, that is definitely "a take". "A take" here meaning, common fucking sense.Believing that this is an elemental expansion simply because we have order-based dragons squaring off against elemental-based dragons, and an elementalist faction who fight alongside elementals, and a race of elemental-fire infused giants and tribes of elemental-decay infused gnolls, and elemental-earth infused furbolgs and element-wielding gorlocs and elemental-air infused centaurs and ice-spiders and ice-bears and flame-phoenixes while all over the continent groups of elementals rage and fight is quite a take.

On the small chance Eclipse is real (and even if it isn’t) what are peoples hopes/expectations for Avaloren’s theme?
I could see a Camelot themed landmass with WoW’s interpretation of Merlin, Morgen Le Fay, King Arthur, the round table and the Holy Grail. It’s a bit surprising we haven’t seen the WoW version of them yet.

Eclipse is the new <X of Dragons>.
Imo still firmly against basic name marketing that Blizzard employs. Eclipse is totally and completely generic. Is it about Elune? Does it just take place on the moon? Is it metaphorical and referring to void invasion? Is it metaphorical and a play on light and void?

It's also worth noting that Fyrakk's attack on Amirdrassil along with bringing the Firelands over is similar to what Ragnaros tried to achieve when Deathwing summoned him.
And since Iridikron is reserved for the next expansion (supposedly), he's gonna be the next "Deathwing" and bring about an elemental chaos with the Primalists helping him (who we still know nothing about their organization.)

Saying DF isn't mostly elemental, next to dragons ofcourse, is quite the take. We have Elemental dragons. An elemental pre patch. Every zone has one element as main influence and the list goes on.

There is a World Quest where a little Pandaren is having a dream and creating monsters by accident in the Emerald Dream. You have to get rid of them.
There's also a few dialogues scattered around from Druids saying they had dreams about the Dream when they were young. which may be some new lore they are seeding.
If you combine the two things, then its implied that Panda is set to be a Druid when he grows up.
Well Drustvar itself displays just how much the Drust involves death. It's all over that landmass.
Bwonsamdi alone? No. Bwondsamdi alongside the Drust alongside Sylvanas using the war to collect souls for the Jailer does make it a secondary theme. Which is why BFA so easily led to Shadowlands. The Bwonsamdi storyline was pretty much small fry. Certainly not enough for it to be considered the secondary theme of an expansion. It was a HvA expansion with the Old Gods as the secondary theme.

A lot of elemental stuff doesn't mean that it's an elemental expansion though. Everything elemental-based in this expansion is in service to the overarching dragon themes.

They're literally proto-dragons. They're simply infused with elemental power, just like the flights are infused with order magic.

Yeah, you're clearly overblowing the influence of elementals in this expansion. If you want to believe that this is an elemental expansion instead of a dragon expansion with an elemental sub theme., that's your opinion and you're welcome to it.![]()
To the point that they became Elementals again yes.
I don’t see how this expansion isn’t an elemental one.
Prepatch was an elemental invasion. Main villains are elementals/elemental cultists. So far 2/3 raids are heavily themed around elementals with the next patch having us fight and kill the lord of fire.
Zones are heavily involving the elements… the list goes on.
You want an elemental expansion? You’re playing one now.
