Yeah, that's how everyone is speculating the Algarian Stormrider to be a gryphon, I don't see a hard connection between that texture and the encrypted pre-order mount, but given its encrypted there is likely no connection to be found if it is. The texture does not seem to belong to a model currently available in the game, though, so it belonging to an encrypted model (there are many) is likely. Also, to clarify timing, the file was added in 10.1.7 not 10.2.

I've been intrigued with the glow on it since it's been datamined. That glow has sort of jumped thematics a bit lately. It kind of matches some moon related NPCs, but also looks like the new necromatic effects we've seen in Exile's Reach and Maldraxxus. I wonder if it's tied at all, or something entirely new.

True, but considering how alien that gryphon looks, and Khaz Algar is supposed to be this entirely foreign cut off from the rest of azeroth, it begs a leap in logic. That part not being encrypted might be explained by it being the basis for multiple upcoming mounts, as in that's the base texture & the Algarian Stormrider is that with elaborate mount armor & seating. With the texture also being used in a non-armored version of the mount and a hunter pet.

When it comes to WoD Heroic Edition - yes, there wasn't. That's why I haven't posted one, because one does not exist.
But as you can imagine, Heroic Edition achievement's mount is a successor of Collector's Edition achievement's mount since Shadowlands, which by the way, BE CAREFUL, came with a Digital Deluxe Edition as well as Collector's Edition back in WoD days. I know it might be difficult to grasp, but believe me, I am not a native english speaker and I managed. Fingers crossed!

Do we think 11.0 will continue a customizable mount similar to the 5 dragons and the Rostrum in Dragonflight, or will we return to individual mounts but with dragonriding abilities?

EDIT: Let me clarify: as the main mounts gained throughout the achievement. I.E., will we gain access to customizable mounts as story points like Dragonflight, or will we just be given individual mounts with dragonriding features?

We’re definitely returning to individual mounts w/ dragon riding based on datamining from a while back.

I would hate to spend most of next expansion time if i will like it, on a gryphoon or something else customizable instead of my favorite mounts. ^^

Even if there will be some kind of system like that, then i hope there will be just also an option to ride mounts that don't go under this system.

Emm, that is literally the whole debate. We have unnamed file with a Gryphon texture that nobody is able to link with anything. We have new dragonriding applied specifically to gryphons. If they already made a whoopsie with the achievement name, they could very well do the same thing with an actual texture.
How is it, that whenever something in your logic is dubious or questionable, you twist and bend every word's meaning to fit your narrative, and yet when the dots are connected by almost everyone on this forum in the same pattern, you come with the boldest statements and confidence I have never seen in my life?

Please note that all of this anger and rancor completely revolves around a simple disagreement about whether the heroic mount is a gryphon or an elemental.

I find that quite amusing, and also a little sad. I would simply recommend that you open yourself up to other possibilities instead of simply believing the general viewpoint that is made up of nothing more than incomplete information and speculation.

They added dragonriding animations to most of the legible mount roster, so we are definitely returning to individual mounts.

That said, the system is great and i can totally see them keeping it and expanding it for select mounts in the future.

True. Though the immediate future seems to only be including analogs to the current dragonriding mounts, plus gryphons & large birds. But that's cool because that matches flying mounts in the RTS games.

Possible, yeah. I'm still not entirely convinced based on the relatively low resolution of the texture (512x256) compared to the other dragonriding mounts (which are all character models just like the 11.0 pre-order mount) which all use 1024x1024 textures or higher. This could also be for the other encrypted mount that has dynamic flying/dragonriding support, which could very well be a gryphon but without character customization options.

The 11.0 pre-order mount has 12 customization options with 46 choices compared to e.g. 10.2's Faerie Dragon mount having 9 options/22 choices, so that one will be just as extensive at least which kind of sets a precedent for mounts in the future as they'd no longer be limiting that to Dragonflight. However, I would expect customizable mounts going forward only through major unlocks like they are now. Other mounts, including probably new ones that aren't as special, will probably have dynamic flying/dragonriding support but without being customizable (there is 1 encrypted mount that currently fits that criteria).

The gryphon texture appears to have several different beak options baked in, so I think it might be customizable. Perhaps different beaks, colours, tail fan shapes and saddle / armour options

It's simply frustrating, because, you know...
It's usually you. It's not about opening up for other possibilties, in fact, two days ago or something like that I even made a post here that it doesn't really matter "what's next" as long as the storywriting is cool and rewarding. But it's still an exciting idea of what comes next and so I read that forum with passion to see what others speculate, and somehow, from time to time, and more often recently, I see derailements from the discussion topic with you constantly being at the top of these derailments. It's just super irritating and gives me the impression that you don't really care about that whole discussion, or you're just a masterclass troll.
