So I've not played Dragonflight until the last two weeks - why is everyone suddently talking about Avaloren? Is it new lore? I've literally never seen in mentioned in any speculation until this year

We found a leaked list of achievements. One specifically mentioned an Algarian Stormrider, hinting at Khaz'algar. We don't know anything about this place, so we just lump it together with the other place we know nothing about, Avaloren.

But its so extremely early to announce a D4 expansion pack already. The game just came out 4 months ago.

Annual expansions. I expect one large zone and one new class. I would be very pleasantly surprised by two zones but I expect one.

Avaloren is mentioned in the same place as Khaz'algar. Titan Keepers documents you could find in Uldaman as early as the pre-patch.

During the Prepatch (and I assume it's in the current new Uldaman), you could find books in the new Uldaman wings.

This one speaks about Odyn sending several expeditions to Avaloren (which we didn't know anything about at that point), where "heretics" are hiding, who did something to Innaria (unknown Keeper), and other keepers.


Then there is this one here, that speaks about Khaz Algar, and the Earthen here who despite being in no contact with our Dwarves or the Curse of Flesh, still developed similarly to our dwarves culturally.

There's more, it was a pretty big lore dump for a Pre-Event, but they are the important ones for 11.0

Oh calm down. That same club gave us Cata and WoD, among the pervading stubbornness to listen to its playerbase. It's the same group that held the game back and we're only now seeing some overdue features. Your heroes sold themselves out for profits.

stormbreak is a nice name. still, an elemental expansion would be a bit weird after dragonflight, esecially the storm part. didn't we fight the embodiment of the storm at the start of this expansion?

I hope for their sake season 2 goes over well: If not an expansion is going to be interpreted as "We're going to fix the game but you have to give us more money"

I am writing to confirm that the wreckage discovered on our shores was indeed the remains of our most recent expedition to Avaloren. There were no survivors.

This marks the third failed attempt to reach that accursed place in the time since I assumed my post.

While I would not presume to question either your authority or your determination, I pray to the titans that the rumors I hear of a fourth expedition are mere speculation rather than fact.

Surely you can see that further pursuit of the heretics is folly. Yes, they must be made to answer for their crimes against Innaria and the other keepers, but their defenses are not to be underestimated.

The resources required to breach their lines are simply beyond our current capabilities. At least, not without jeopardizing containment of the prisoners in our charge.

Though I agree there is risk in allowing their strength to grow, evidence suggests that the aggressive nature of the heretics will cause them to turn on one another and weaken their resolve. If we can be patient, an opportunity for retribution will present itself.

I beseech you, Prime Designate, let the fire of your wrath cool, at least for now. Its embers will be rekindled in due time.

If not, I fear that I will soon be authoring yet another report of a lost expedition, its final remnants dashed upon rock and wave.

New OW Hero (Maybe some sort of trickle of scrapped story content?)
Warcraft Rumble release date - maybe some purchase content to get the SAFE pilot in WoW

No idea what hearthstone this year and I might have dont think we will see the survival game announced. (EVEN THOUGH! Blizzard is not using the basement yet for the con so there is a change it does get shown.)

The fact it links to blizzcon tickets shows they are going to try and drive ticket sales this week. EXPECT more blizzcon details this week to drive those sales.
