Midnight 12.X Patches & World Soul Saga Speculation Thread

We’ve had plenty of talk regarding the location for next expansion, but what about the features!? Features you expect, not want!

- New class?
- New races(s), core or allied?
- New customisation?
- Class skins?
- New specs?
- The big selling point feature? I.e garrisons, class halls, artifact weapons, azerite armour, warfronts, island expeditions, torghast, dragon riding
- New / revamped professions such as archaeology?

I think new races, new specs and new customisation are highly likely.

I think there’s a chance we may finally get class skins.

I think archaeology will be updated.

I think we’re going to get something similar to torghast but reworked obviously.

I think we’re going to see the return of mage tower like content.

I don’t think a revamp is happening, I think that’ll be 12.0. When that does happen I think it’s likely we get the likes of player housing, racial “halls” & focus, and a new class (tinker or something like an explorer).

For me, at minimum it's the remaining classes for all races.

That's a must.

I mean come on, 10th exp, 20th anni? The time is now.

Blizzard missed the mark massively with N’Zoth. I always pictured a fight with him as being in the ocean, storms surrounding him, similar to his HS artwork. What we got was very underwhelming.

I’d also have loved for him to have used a humanoid avatar as well at times. Does anyone remember the pre-BfA leak season where there were a few leaks floating around stating that N’Zoth was using the guise of a known character to us and had been under our nose the entire time? With the popular theories being Wrathion and Nathanos.

Imo we should have first fought N'zoth at the end of Siege of Stormwind, with him attacking Stormwind docks and both Horde and Alliance converging to fight him. But he should have his final fight in Nyalotha. Imo the first fight was pretty solid. I just found the second fight underwhelming.

They look fine from other angles. This is just a very, very bad angle, I think. It looks like an avian llama from some kind of awful speculative evolution fiction.

These legs though... I just changed my mind, I'd love it to be an Algarian Stormrider, the walking animation would be the only reason I'd use it in game.

N'zoth is the only character that can reasonably be brought back, without retconning stuff. Either via the 'it was just a vision' route or the 'his essence is in the dagger' route

New customization for sure. Expanding the body size option that Dracthyr have to all races would be really nice.

I’d love another new race like Ethereals. ARs would be nice if new ones aren’t locked behind a rep grind. Like a Drakonid AR following the rebellion storyline would be cool.

Definitely a bit unconvincing due to the asymmetries, but definitely more convincing than a fake logo would be. I think some of the weird metal bits, the fucked hands and and the asymmetry would tip people off if you tried to pass this off as official. Looks more like something from Hearthstone to me than a cinematic still or expansion promotional art; as I said, you'd need to go through a couple iterations and cite those in the prompts to pass this off as one or the other, and you'd need to use manual editing to hide the oddities.

My issue would be that there's no real connection to C'thun. It's just a random blue/purple dude.

I don't want them to bring back any old God, they're dead and back in the void where they can assume a form unseen. But having them back on Azeroth is not progressing the story forward

I actually think WoD Classic will go down really well. If WoD had only lasted the length of its content, it wouldn't be so bad!
Meaning WoD Classic will last 5 months.

WoD Classic would probably work if you shorten it, but also remove all amenities from the Garrison. No free ores, no free food, no free herbs.
That being said, even with all that removed you will still have a very empty world given basically all endgame content is relegated to daily "fill the bar" quests, one for each zone.

T&E Weekly Reset is about leak speculation.

Basically relates to the Dwarf and Storm datamining and the Blizzcon Elemental.

Thinks Stormrider might be an elemental.
Khaz Algar could be an Oribos style staging area west of Kalimdor but this side of the western storms. Uses the Stormrider ability to pierce the storms to get access to the main expansion area.
Rest leans into the amount of storm related stuff.

You dont need to be a photoshop wonder I imagine to do this, no offence, but people can easily fall for this.

While I don't like Teriz's logic style, I do think there's a decent chance the Stormrider is an elemental of some kind.

Why? Because as soon as they get their model reworked, there will be a million Gryphon mounts.
