I get to go to sleep just in time for everyone to speculate! Enjoy! I’m actually getting more HYPE by the day.

Friendly reminder that the Titans had Algalon glass countless worlds without hesitation when their own flawed mechanisms fail.

    The Titans have always sucked.

Going West to lands undiscovered with the sword being pulled out of Silithus and us exploring what's beneath either being a pre-patch dungeon / quest area / etc or an end game zone.

"Did the Titans make the Dream" has been in since the Warcraft Encylopedia, which is so old it was on their original website that still advertised the RPG books as canon, alongside the Troll Compendium.

It's definitely not a new concept at all.

What was the MRGM tweet? Needs age in twitter to see it as it says adult content and there is no way I'm putting my DoB in.

This sea is called the Veiled Sea. Which indicates it MIGHT be at the edge of a the storm, or at least getting the after effects. In addition, this sea connects to "The Forbidden Sea", which reaches all the way around to the Eastern Kingdom. And, well. That's been mentioned since AT LEAST Cataclysm.
Yep, and the only time we see a globe is in Halls of Lightning. Veiled Sea and Forbidding Sea connect with nothing in between. BUTTTTTT... given the current story and lore snippets focusing on the questionable motives and morality of the Titans, could just be propaganda and false info. There may be something there they didn't want the "lesser races" to know about.

I wonder if they'll just make it some weather effect on e.g. The Great Sea map and drop a race in there, but that doesn't seem very interesting either. Hmm!
I bet the Stormrider cup is like the Kessel run. It'll just be one big tornado over the ocean & you have to do a set number of laps, but there's more drag the closer to the center you go.

Looks like Avaloren/other side of Azeroth is soft confirmed at this point.

I’m wondering if we end up being able to fly through the storm, or if we manage to travel underground via the area around the sword, as it’s near the coast of kalimdor.

I know that people like the dunk on the towel for bullshitting, but he usually has insider info related to dates and announcements that he generally ends up being correct on. The dude always seems to know the day of the week a patch will be announced, and clearly knows people inside Blizz. I see no reason to not trust that he knows the next expansion, especially because he’s not budging and has been hinting at caves, kobolds, and AQ bugs.

Long story short: an easy prediction I’ll make at this point is that we’re going to Avaloren and Khaz’algar. Most of the expansion will be technically underground, but they’ll find a way to make it feel absolutely massive. Way more headroom than 10.1.

I’m imagining an absolutely MASSIVE titan facility built into the backside of Azeroth. Sprawling cave networks with a variety of biomes, parts of the cave blown out (allowing light and visibility of the surface - which would help to not feel isolated and claustrophobic)

I’d also bet that this will be the expansion we finally SEE Azeroth (the titan), either via her birth/corruption/in utero. It would be a shame for them to tease Iridikron using Azeroth as bait, and not allow us to see her.

Lastly, given that Blizz has spoken about expansions working as trilogy’s from now on, the expansion after Avaloren would be the time to do the world revamp they have confirmed they need to do.

I’d also like to take a moment of silence for my fellow world revamp hype-train passengers. A broken clock is right twice a day. We will have our moment to shine! /salute

The first page begins with "in the days when the kingdom of dragons was young" and the second page says "Erinethria had flown to the far corners of Kalimdor and back", so pretty firmly pre-sundering. West would imply off to the west of Kalimdor (both the pre-sundering supercontinent and the current continent).

Also Tyr is in the story, so that dates it pretty firmly as pre-sundering as well.

You should also have one for the Void lovers who wanted a void expansion (for some reason). Thankfully Blizzard went in a different direction.

Why do we need to bother considering a bigger picture here?
The Titans assumed if their shit failed, no one could fix it - and they were wrong.

We even ended up saving them instead. So what does that say about all those planets they depopulated?

Because if he actually knew for sure, he would also be explicitly forbidden from openly mentioning it, let alone doubling down on "it's this".

Their security has only gotten better, I'm sure.

More, do we think this is real? Because that's Toweliee saying "Well, shit". Or does he not have knowledge of classic so he's just going off a rumor.

Cuz like, World of Warcraft Awakening is a meme. It's been used for every leak cycle since at least WoD.

What I mean to say is, it's very possible that he has inside information of some sort. It's also more than possible he's just trolling. But even if he does have it, That doesn't mean it's accurate. And saying that doesn't even mean he's lying.

Right or wrong, don't get so hung up on what he says is right or not. Blizzard's a big company, and even the people inside the company ain't got all the information.
Ultimately I wouldn't be surprised if he does know a fair bit, as he's been around for ages and seems pretty friendly with the devs. He absolutely does agitate though, so take everything with a heaping of salt.

I actually like his more recent cryptic posts that invoke a question to get people speculating - I think going wild and exploring 'what ifs' is healthy for this thread so avoid us tunnel visioning. Just as long as everyone involved is aware he could be yanking their chains a bit.

Hopefully we at least get SMC and Darnassus 2 revamps so that we have a reason they are updating Nelf and Belf boats. I'm ok with no full revamp right now as long as we get some really good updates in concentrated places.

There's literally no indication that this is any expansion. Backside of Azeroth, shrouded by storms is pretty much all we can assume. With Iridikron continuing into the next expansion, of course, we can add that there will be hints of void involved. It won't be solely the stone storm and magma fest you are hoping for.

But you know this. You still troll regardless.

He doesn’t have to sign an NDA. Someone who has signed one told him though. It’s called a “Frien-DA”. There are likely other content creators who know and just aren’t saying anything.

It’s a pretty open secret that devs leak things to content creators pretty regularly. Sometimes the info is internal company drama, sometimes it’s info on upcoming content. Most content creators don’t say much publicly, as to not risk losing their source/getting their source fired. The towel has either worked this out with his source and neither party is worried about it, or he’s being reckless. Either way I believe him.

Not saying he doesn't have insider knowledge, but wouldn't this be a terrible idea? Unless Blizz actually gave him the greenlight to tease like this, wouldn't he be risking such connections? A patch date/announcement is one thing but spoiling/teasing/leaking an expansion sounds like a terrible way to keep yourself "in the know" in future. So he would have to have been given the okay to tease what he has teased in the way he has teased it, or he has to be trolling with something he knows is wrong.

Well we also took down Old Gods as well so. Who's to say other planets were capable of that? Ours and the races on it are very special.
