Absolutely. Avalon was the first thing that came to my mind as well. We surely going to get nods to Arthurian legends. But pretty much the only thing we know for certain is the sophisticated technology. So if they were below Gilneas on the tech tree I would be very surprised.

Well of course it is. If they've repurposed or expanded upon titan materials to outfit new weaponry which is more advanced than say a steel sword, then that would be a technological advancement.

They could also utilise azerite as explosives or to advance their weaponry.

Though I prefer the likes of Merlin etc to serve as their protectors. With ''Merlin'' being some being on the level of Keepers or more powerful. Maybe Nimue produces the storms that surrounds Avaloren to stop invaders? These new dragons that have found a home here too.

It won’t be a “limited experience” for anyone.
They’re already working on a toggle for players to be able to to switch mounts from dynamic flight to static flight and vice versa. (Which is why a lot of the basic mounts have dragonriding animations now)

Those that haven’t leveled dragonriding or don’t like it can just toggle static flight.

That toggle won't be ready by 10.2 when this mount is available.

Also not to mention that during the 10.1.7 (or .5?) PTR blizzard already confirmed they’re going to expand dragonriding to the rest of the game in a later patch & that’s what the static flight/dynamic flight toggle was for.

Then you shouldn't take issue when complaints are made about the writing. I've stated several times that Blizz only caters to the "I'm just here to kill things" crowd. And the crowd that cares about lore and stories? Most are gone and won't be coming back.

You don't know that. Making an ability usable in a zone it it currently isn't, is something a hotfix can do.

Besides that the argument that a regular mount is more appealing than a dragonriding mount is just ridiculous, Dragonriding everywhere was ready to go in 10.1.5 but to everyone's surprise, they didn't implement it. It definitely seems like Blizzards style to release it as a pre-order bonus.

It very well could be ready to ship in 10.2 with preorder since it’ll have been in the files for two patches by 10.2 (and chances are they’ve been working on it even before that)

Mechanically there’s no reason why dragonriding couldn’t work in the rest of the world because Dracthyr can already do it.
AND the races in EK & Kalimdor.

Oh man, how cool would it be if they managed to hide the fact that Dynamic Flight is actually coming in 10.2., and they left it as a surprise for patch release. Sadly, it would contradict that the new Mythic only mount is "the first non-dragon Dragonriding mount we can get" prior to the official dynamic flight switch.

In all fairness, the current trend for the past 9yrs or so has been completely trashing any sense of mystery surrounding the cosmology. So I wouldn't be surprised if "First Ones" make an appearance.
