Well i have to disagree with that, i think the balance in dragonflight so far in many situations is pretty much one sided in direction they took.
There's nothing that i will ever come back to personally, when it comes to watching stuff back again like from some other expansions.
Maybe 10.2+ and later patches will have better pacing, but overall vibe of writing these "strong" emotions feel weak and not impactful so far.
But this is just my opinion and you have yours, none is more important than the other, we're just sharing our experience.
Yeah and then Bolvar pretty much did nothing for the whole expansion, ye he was involved in some quests but overall i don't remember anything cool that he actually did.

You can feel it through all shadowlands that they didn't know what story to tell with most of the characters. Bolvar, the four horsemen, Baine, Calia. It was painful but the cinematic in itself is, in my opinion, a hundred times better than the one of BfA. It just lack a bit of storytelling to it. Bfa didn't have that either but they tried to place a monologue from Sylvanas that still to this day means nothing to me...
"Alliances forged and broken. We have paid the price for sharing this world. We have forgotten what makes us strong" this is so random and meaningless it makes the one from MoP cinematic epic and profound
They released a short story explaining what the Horsemen were doing. As well as explaining Bolvar was losing control of himself.I never understood why people expected Sylvanas to be the underdog in that fight. She several centuries of battle & weird magical stuff behind her...and Bolvar doesn't have anything like that.

here we go
Well, looks like it's going to be a classic week. let's try again next week lol
I think the wowhead speculation from about a year ago was right. That the original concept for the expansion was that the jailer was a good guy being controlled by the Runecarver was scrapped when people in the writing department realized how much everyone hated him and Sylvanas so they kinda had to rush to get to the end. Either way we got what we got and we can't change the past...well I mean the writers can but they do not have the ability to write something that way...and I am not insulting them either its a very high concept task that I just don't think even most skilled writers can pull off.

12th has a new promo, thats something atleast.

new promotion though which MAY be good
Was there something related to Wotlk ICC datamined?
I guess promotion might be just tied to opening of ICC, which is big thing for classic players.
meh, so only a new promo this week. it's just gonna be a shop item, probably

nothing datamined iirc
Not even really that, people where simply hyped about Bolvar finally bringing the force. The way hes been acting in Legion was awfully similar to how Ner'zhul did things in WC3 (being frozen inside the throne, but empowering and using a DK as his champion to further his own goals in the background, while simultaneously working to bring the BL down). It seemed to set him up for something. And then the cinematic still leaked, with him suddenly having blue eyes and a blue helmet gem again. Everything seemed to point at him dropping something big.
And then the actual cinematic released, and he was nothing more than a punching bag for Sylvanas, the helmet was ripped apart, and all of that buildup was immediatly wasted. Just like that.
My personal theory is still that he WAS set up for something in Legion, but the plans changed sometime later. The way he was portrayed there was so fundamentally different from anything that followed.
The crooked shitposter with no eyes is watching from the endless thread.
From the space that is everywhere and nowhere, the crooked shitposter feasts on memes.
He has no eyes to see, but he dreams of infinite memeing and trolling.
A lot of modern media has this issue. Its what I call the MCU Effect although its been around since before then.
Lots of Video Games and books (High Republic Star Wars for me) seperates stories out through books, comics, videos, short stories, etc and then expects you to purchase all the products and read all the things to understand whats going on. It doesn't need to be and should not be like that. Blizzard did make a vow to do better about that and in fairness this expansion every bit of side content so far has been free (All the short stories at launch). We will see how that fairs when we come to the new book releasing in a few weeks.
I mean you can tell noticeably that between 9.1 and 9.2 the writing team either had a massive change or was given very specific direction. The sharp left turn in presentation was much appreciated but still jarring.
Shout out to Zereth Mortis, redheaded step child of Modern WoW.

It's undoubtedly the Virtual Ticket going on sale. Typically it goes up a full month before blizzcon so we're behind. How far before expansions go up do you think they get planned? It's definitely the firing of Afrasiabi in june 2020 if its anything.
