Eh? Why couldn’t it be likely? Ashenvale is literally the ancestral home of the Night Elves. Nordrassil is the original World Tree. They’re the two most fitting places for the Night Elves to live on Azeroth. You’re acting as if I’ve said I could see them settling down in Stranglethorn Vale.

I'm more wanting to see the evidence you think it will happen. Something feeling right isn't the same as suppling a trail of data. What datamining supports this? What recent dialog or quest text? What models?

Ah didn’t know that haven’t really looked around the reach.

In that case I wouldn’t be surprised if blizzard just forgot about it going dormant, that seems more likely then there still being an open wound we haven’t beards about.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

So all of the azerite should be useless post BFA.
Azerite was a terrible plot device that should better be left forgotten, IMO. It had so much potential, but was nothing more than a means to an end that went absolutely nowhere.

Possible but I still think its something Warcraft Rumble related. One unit there is S.A.F.E. Pilot. Kind of figured the S.A.F.E. Pilot thing in WoW may just be some cross promotion for it.

Horribly boring as well. Barely remember anything about the Magni questlines regarding healing Azeroth.

Maybe if the next expansion is underground it could be explored further?

I could see this being the case. Register a Warcraft Rumble account and get a pet inside WoW. Same as how we had the Hearthstone Mercenaries cross promotion thing.

Ever stop to consider that it could be an elemental gryphon?

Also I’m pretty sure Khaz Algar is inside a fissure.

I said I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen in a world revamp expansion because I literally wouldn’t be surprised. It’s the Night Elves ancestral home. I don’t need to see datamined models for it to not surprise me.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Or hell have it added to the rumble minis thing we've got already, those were on that list too after all.

I know some folks thought maybe it's a hearthstone sorta thing but I doubt it if only because it is S.A.F.E. Pilot, not like "S.A.F.E. Pilot Harness" or something like that. As-is, its referring to an actual entity.

But elemental forces are a primary theme and enemy in dragonflight; more so than dragons - if the next expansion is elemental heavy it's going to feel a bit stale

Because it's literally being presented to us as the new Night Elf home, not a Druid place?

I’m saying that the overall tone of the Warcraft story is extremely different to that of the mid to late 2000s. We have had multiple different narrative leads, writers, and team members over that time period. Times evolve. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. But you cannot look at TBC/WotLK era WoW and say it is a similar vibe to Legion-DF era WoW.

Wasn’t aware of that, cheers. Maybe it will be then. It’s a bit shit for those hoping for the Night Elves to repopulate Northern Kalimdor but it is what it is.

If we do get a world revamp, I wonder what Northern Kalimdor will look like.
Using the trailer doesn't really illustrate that, is my point. The fan trailer doesn't show contrasting styles or changes in styles. It shows a highlight moment that resonates with fans. Hence the movie comparison. The story direction might have changed, but that trailer and comparing it to Dragonflight's cinematic wouldn't possible show that. They're completely unrelated. So my question would be, if you're not claiming it's a bad thing, then why is the fan trailer relevant at all? It's a cool thing. It's well animated, well shot. But does it show a shift in Blizzard's tone? Nope. Because Blizzard didn't make it. And there's absolutely no reason to believe they couldn't randomly throw more Shadowlands or BFA style grit into a cinematic if the situation called for it. It just hasn't so far.

    You have forgotten the wooons?

I think BfA had to many different main themes, none of which really got proper focus.

The dumb thing is that azerite isn’t actually boring with the way they lay it out in The novel where it can be used in a ton of different ways to advance wow tech.

And then none of that ever comes up beyond “it make big boom”.

It is grindy FOMO bullshit. No game with Batytle Pass has been worth playing.

I'm sure they just forgot about the Iron fleet Azerite. Shouldn't the heart of Azeroth also work just fine now that we are back from shadowlands? I am pretty sure they told us that it still has all its powers, but is simply useless in the shadowlands due to being disconnected from azeroth.

One day, I hope that I will stand together before the new world tree, our new home.
Malfurion says it will be the new world tree.

So many were lost at Teldrassil, including my beloved Aquinne. This pendant is all I have left of her after the Horde destroyed Teldrassil. It is my most prized possession.
I'm not a warrior or a priestess, just a simple angler. But when I heard this was to be our new home, I knew I had to do my part, no matter how small. It's what Aquinne would have wanted.
Such a small seed... but fueled by hope and by love, it thrives. The time will come when it will leave the Dream and come into Azeroth, grown and ready to fulfill its purpose.
And Merithra says it will leave the dream to fulfill it's purpose.

Mind, it is possible they could pull a "Well, all the great trees are connected and can be used for travel too and from the Dragon Isles".
But I'm not really sure how much that matters. It still pulls the Night Elves away from their ancestral homelands in a way that seems to a bit too much like rewarding the Horde for bad behavior.
