It's always funny when people identify with Blizzard so much. If there will be some massive content drought, only Blizzard is in trouble - and it's "lower profits" problem, not "game is dying this time for real". Players will either unsubscribe until expansion. play alts or focus on completionist game, as always.
Well blizzard has trading post now that will help with the drought a little, i feel like even when i won't be playing because im bored to death with DF content, i will at least resub to get the tenders, monthly reward and some transmogs every month.
Im probably not the only one that will do that.
Like i came back 2 weeks ago or so mostly because of trading post and 10.1.7, but 10.1.7 content lasted for only 2 hours when it comes to the quests and i was bored like 2 days after so im just mostly waiting for 10.2 and new TP stuff.

Seriously sending some hope we get an actual good leak soon vibes to this thread![]()

Well, as I said, not in big troubles, just lower profits. Warcraft is massive IP, Blizzard would have to stop releasing anything related to it for like 10 years (games, merchandises, etc.) for it to become forgotten. Maybe not even that, Diablo released game after 10 years and it sold 12M copies.
Also often droughts are not cause of problems, but consequence of them.
Silas Darkmoon is the owner of the faire, ask his parents.
They still could just go ahead and still do that or a 10.2.7 for a fated patch, fated was very new and might not even have existed when that plan was laid out (it was done as an experiment during Dragonflight development by 2-3 people) so there's a good chance it wouldn't have been included in said plan.

If there is to be no 10.3 I wonder if 10.2.5 is to have a new megadungeon or mage tower esque thing in it. I could see the return of the brawlers guild however.
Now I'm even more disapointed Galakrond wasn't more utilized. Rather than a mage tower or a megadungeon, I wonder how people would feel about a 1 boss raid which is exceptionally difficult, and would have a limited amount of trys a week say similar to mage tower. Could even just possibly be a 5man mage tower challenge.
A really really tough boss but with a cool mount/cosmetic/title reward. A character like Galakrond would of been perfect for something like this.
I don't think they should ever reveal the secrets behind the darkmoon faire, its a huge part of its appeal imo.
