Another Cosmic expansion or off-world expansion. After 3 slowly killing the game, each one being significantly a lower lowest point than the last, I think another would kill it.

I'm happy with most anything, but if it's another hold hands and sing songs around the campfire with the opposite faction constantly crap like this expansion, I'm just moving on. Ain't a Warcraft game at that point. We've worked together without being buddy buddy with the enemy, and that was the charm.

Dragonflight seemed cool at the start but it's so ridiculously bland.

Shadowlands at least had some iconic characters as bosses like Kel'Thuzad, Sylvanas and Anduin. At least we knew them before and they were memorable. But Dragonflight? We have a random Grimtotem in Vault, Echo of Neltharion in Abberus and Smolderon in Amirdrassil - these are the most known characters in all of the DF raids. Like... honestly? The Incarnates fail as major threats as much as Zovaal because we didn't know about them before their expansion. There's neither tension nor interest and Blizzard failed again to build any of that during the respective expansion. That's why Iridikron being the new "Gul'dan" is a good thing and leaves something to expect for the next expansion.

Slight disagree in that they've made Fyrakk a pretty cool villain in one expansion similar to Denathrius in SL. The other Incarnates are bland af but Fyrakk has been given pretty decent exposure and development as a threat both cinematically and gameplay-wise

I don't know if I can honestly agree. Cinematically he comes to attack the Niffen village doing next to no damage for a being of his power level, then disappears for a patch. Only to come back and fly on a course across 1 of 2 zones, only to back off and leave a mini him in charge for.. reasons? I understand this is mmo gameplay letting the possible fear of him down, but the only person they did a good job as setting up as a true 'scary' villain is Iridikron. The aspects fear him and what he is capable of doing and we are shown this.

Fyrakk flies around the Ilse's burning 2 of 4 zones and Alextrasza is too busy hugging Nozdormu to care about him. Its a shame really. Fyrakk does have villain potential. They've just dropped the ball again.

Sounds pretty boring to me personally, another invasion like events but with "twillight" this time and such, of all the features there's nothing that interesting in description that they would show on screen because there are almost none hype factors in this leak, so i guess that is increasing the chances of it for being right.

Racist? When was that? Or do you mean because they had war between the two factions that seems racist to you? And what exactly was sexist? Calling Sylvanas a bitch? Which they removed? Because Cenarius and all the dryads and keepers of the grove pretty much come from them. Isn't that why the look like Night Elves in the top half of their bodies?

It's more mythological in a sense. I certainly wasn't expecting Cenarius to have a harem of dryads that he can breed every so often.

I tend to agree with the suggestion that the name is too vague to instantly pique the interest of lapsed subscribers, but then again Cataclysm exists.

I don’t understand this idea.

Why does the name being relevant to known lore figures or themes matter to bringing back relapsed subscribers? This thread is the minority in the WoW player base. To be frank, most former players don’t care about the lore, all they care about is game play. My friendship group returns for every expansion and they don’t give a shit about the lore and the name of the expansion has never been a factor for them or something that’s ever entered their mind. They re-sub for launch because there’s a new expansion to sweat for a couple of months then they unsub again until the next expansion.

While there are valid arguments against some titles, the one for "it doesn't fit previous patterns" really just makes me laugh since I've seen that particular argument brought forward so many times for previous expansion title leaks.

"Cataclysm can't be the title, no expansion's had a single word title before." "Mists of Pandaria can't be the title, all previous expansions referenced the main threat!" "Battle for Azeroth sounds like a patch title/spinoff!" Etc.

Stormbreaker works as a title just fine.

This. It’s a pretty meaningless argument at this point. If Blizzard like the sound of it, they’ll use it. They aren’t sat there thinking about whether it loops back to a lore character or theme. Rule of cool trumps all.

tbh it looks most legit from all the fanfics shown so far, + not any new class or race = so overall it doesn't blow your mind. Also - it well allign with everything what has been found so far..
