I mean it could be the warfront stories. or campaigns on AU Draenor between the Draenei and the Iron Horde. Or all the battles against the Legion while we were busy with Order Hall stuff.
Or literally anything that doesn't work well as an MMO.

Hell it would even be interesting to go through all the expansion stories with actual lore characters doing the stuff players did. Same way Varian did the Onyxia's Lair attunement quest.

Honestly this is a great idea and would give them a great way to flesh out story’s they refuse to touch in wow.

Hearthstone had some great character stuff with there short story’s around horde and alliance characters but that’s all none canon so doing something similar in an RTS and make it canon would be nice.

Bringing Ysera back like that and then immediately backpedaling on the decision was probably the most disappointing part about Dragonflight questing. Either bring her back fully or don't do it at all. Nobody cares about Merithra.

I was actually kinda excited about Merithra. But that excitement went away when they sacrificed Malfurion for Ysera only so she can be there and do nothing. It was so simple and they made it complicated for no reason.

Would be a nice wallpaper for sure. Maybe closer to release. Did previous patches get any official wallpapers? Maybe something in the press kit section?

He wasn't "sacrificed", he's only having a temporary stay. He'll come back eventually. And Ysera did do something. Sometimes, your parent telling you that you can do it is all it needs.

Seems they already tried to bring in fresh players. This current interpretation of WoW doesn't resemble much of the old game. It certainly doesn't cater to the old players that would stay unsubscribed for months at a time.

Could be Un'goro on account of it being a crater. Could be in Scholazar on account of it being a crater, having water in the middle, and being personally overseen by Freya.

It will be wherever the writers say it is, and will just pretend like the other options were just coincidentally similar.

There is also a world tree that il'gynoth infested in the nightmare version of un'goro.
But i personally would prefer a new location. Un'goro is just too old as a zone.

You don't think they can bring in new players with a new RTS? Warcraft 3 was very casual btw, you didn't need to have RTS knowledge to play it.

I meant trying to find a leak from before the "Showdown in the Badlands" shirt was leaked. If there was a WoW leak from a few weeks back that was talking about a "wild west hearthstone expac", it would lend some credibility to the rest of their claims.

It was also fairly unique, with it's emphasis on smaller armies with tougher units and champions.

I think the fact that Il'gynoth inhabits a corrupted World Tree in the Nightmare version of Un'goro suggests that's where the tree stood.

It's a good prediction currently, but so is Scholazar because of the aforementioned proximity to Freya, and how it looks closer to what the book described. But none of that matters to where it is eventually placed.
It could end up on top of Mount Hyjal, and the reason it's a mountain is due to the Titans treating it as effectively a giant landfill.

Wherever it will be will fit the description perfectly anyways.
