I'm on the boat that Undermine is most likely going to be a mega dungeon.

Gallywix is up to something big when he's making deals with brokers so that's probably where we'll see him.

I agree with this. I struggle to imagine Undermine as a flashy enough main box feature to be an entire expansion's hinging theme. A megadungeon makes a lot of sense and parallels mechagon. (I do wish mechagon had been the underground city as a zone and less of just the above ground junkyard, which was cool in some ways and I really enjoyed, but I digress.)

We have 10.2.5 in the files, so it was never the end, but I think most people are certain it's the last raid and zone. Which is kind of "the end" for a lot of players.

I think this is just referring to tying up loose ends in 10.2.5/10.2.7, then continuing the main in 11.0. Maybe a little hint on where Iridikron went in the two smaller patches

Ofcourse it's not. People are saying 10.2 is the final patch because the augment rune is in there.. It's the following logic:


People: Blizzard please give us the eternal rune earlier than the final tier in the raid!
Blizzard: Sure, here it is in a .2 patch
People: OMG .2 is the final patch!!!!! the world is ending!!!

I disagree. I think that they could be everywhere. They look almost the same as those Emerald Dream statues. They are probably one of the Primal races of Azeroth. Probably some kind of Guardians that got corrupted. Time will tell.

I thought trolls were the original race of Azeroth? Damn.

I think most people are in agreement that there will be half patches after 10.2, which can easily handle story content like this. 10.1.5 introduced a mega dungeon, a new world event, new quest chains, and cinematics.

I'd say, again, that "this is a turning point" (this is obviously something being pushed as a talking point. The same wording was used by two different people in two different interviews.")

And they did clarify major big story, not loose ends in the buffed interview.

The fact they didn’t do this in BfA blows my mind, the entire using our own ships business. It’s been one of the most requested systems for around 10 years.

If we go to Avaloren, I just want Camelot. Old school, traditional, classic western fantasy.

I'll prefer something more Mediterranean/Spanish. I feel like north/mid Europe was already explored with humans and dwarves, but I could be biased.

I haven't kept up with the ptr, but these statues (which were in the vanilla version assets for ED as well) could easily be of entities from other worlds (the Dream has been soft retconned to include other planets) or elsewhere within the Dream or in the adjacent "life lands," whatever that plane will eventually be called.

Edit-- Maybe also statues of the First Ones?

You're right on that. I can't possibly see an unexpected 10.3, unless it's such a major story reveal they're trying to hide it. All of the signs point to no 10.3, so maybe a 10.2.5 mini raid that will provide more story following Fyrakk's demise? A Vyranoth double agent betrayal?

It has Merithra instead of Ysera. I thought they were bringing Ysera back.

Ysera is just back a moral support. She's still tied to Ardenweald and she has to come back eventually (making Malf take her place is just a loophole hack).

Elunahir was in Un'guro, I thought.

It's just speculation, based on being a tree there in the Emerald Nightmare and it being a crater full of fauna and flora unique to the region (the only other place with similar ones is the Wailing Caverns, being a Emerald Dream leak, so....)

They look exactly like Djaradin only without the glow in the dark tattoos: But that would lineup with the Djaradin concept art, where they were given a lot of troll features & jewelery. This suggests Trolls were Djaradin who got the curse of flesh or some facsimile.* Not titan constructs, but elementals that became flesh. Plus it works better thematically, where its supposed to be a grey area of the Titans being all-good or all-bad for the planet. If all humanoid races were the result of their interference.

*I know the curse of flesh was exclusive to titan-constructs, but there is also the corrupting blood that turned Tauren into humanoids. Clearly there is some sort of analog curse that can affect other kinds of creatures.

My problem with Avaloren is that it’s yet another mysterious land hidden by mists/storms that is influenced by titans and dragons. It sounds more like an extension of Dragonflight than a new expansion on its own.

That brood of green drakes must be dramatically more inbred than normal dragons. Which I realize now is probably why most storm drakes can't talk.

If I recall, the big "revelation" was that at least half posting no longer have active subscriptions.

You need to reread posts before you reply to them because the guy I replied to said he's still playing Dragonflight despite none of his friends playing. So its obviously not an issue of "anything is fun if your friends are playing with you"

Could be Un'goro on account of it being a crater. Could be in Scholazar on account of it being a crater, having water in the middle, and being personally overseen by Freya.

It will be wherever the writers say it is, and will just pretend like the other options were just coincidentally similar.

Isn't the Un'Goro titan outpost being accesible by a Titan-Gate south of Sholazar?

The Kaldorei didn't really have a 'capital' between the War of the Ancients and the Third War, and the destruction of Teldrassil surely will be a memory that will prevent greater settlements for a while. However, ingame, Amirdrassil will likely become the official capital in some form.

I found some interviews the other night that mentioned the Ysera/Alexstraza quest before the Buffed and Well-Played ones.

It mentions things like

This patch lends to some really important stories, such as the new world tree growing and Tyrande finding her place within the Emerald Dream, joined by some familiar friends.

Considering that there simply isn’t a lot of classic lore areas left in WoW, it is doubtful that Blizzard would toss away a potential continent for “reasons”. If they took Dragon Isles from a zone to a continent and turned the Broken Isles into a continent, then Undermine at the very least is going to maintain its vanilla status as a potential continent.

There’s zero reason not to.

I fealt the same way about the Emerald Dream, Nazjatar, Argus and Ny'alotha. A lot of people wished the same for Azjol-Nerub. Look how well that turned out.
Now I'm not saying it is impossible for Undermine to be this giant continent we visit. But I ask you to temper your expectations. Unlesss someone on the team has a huge goblin fetish, it might not happen.
