That gap is pretty much occupied by her weapon and Nozdormu in the background. Putting another character in there would 1) make it too crowded, and 2) take away from giving Noz and Tyrande's glaive full appearances.

On the subject of Tyrande: I haven't played the campaign or looked into her involvement, does she still have some Night Warrior powers? Or were they removed during the ritual to save her in Shadowlands?

After the cinematic with WQ and Elune you can talk to Tyrande, and she implies that she still have at least some fraction of the power, but it's not killing her anymore.

I really can't help but shake the idea "Fyrn" is a play on "Fern" and it's a dream related pet. Would make sense with today's announcement.

Same, I predicted it's a wordplay with fern and Fyrakk.

I assume will take on an Aspect type role for the various other non-Titan tweaked Proto Drakes (maybe Nether Drakes as well?).

Storm Drakes, most likely. Nether Drakes would make sense to go to Black (as they are originally black dragons infused with the Nether energies).

Whether Blizzard actually intended for Undermine to be a continent or if it was just poorly labeled in those early concept maps is something that's always going to be debated. But even if that was the case, it's been a city since 2006.

She doesn't suddenly change sides. She realized that Fyrakk has gone berserker and Iridikron has ulterior plans that don't necessarily share the ends that Vyranoth wants (a dragonkin free of the Titans' leash).
So she temporally side with us to stop Fyrakk on jeopardizing dragonkin future.

And frequently expanding islands to be the size of continents (or vice versa?). Northrend and Pandaria are labeled as continents even though areas like the Dragon Isles and Broken Isles are fairly comparable in size despite just being islands.

Duly noted. As I said earlier Blizzard has a history of taking small locations and expanding them considerably if they wish to use it as the central landmass for an expansion. The Broken Isles for example were originally far smaller only included some elf ruins and the tomb of Sargeras before Legion. After Legion, Blizzard added more zones and turned it into a continent. No reason they couldn't do the same for Undermine.

Use a firsthand source and not a pedia site. As you can see by clicking on the link, it doesn't state the primary source anywhere and is thus, pure speculation. They didn't migrate from the Fandom brand for no reason.

You can see on the old map from 1999 that it is the size of a zone, nowhere near the size of a continent.

1) she helped fyrakk reach zaralek to bathe in the shadowflame. she knew what could have happened
2) she was the only incarnate to really mourn the death of raszageth. now she's allying with those who killed her not long ago
3) she wants the world free of the titans' leash, but that means destroying most of the life azeroth. the primalist future shows that
4) she went from arguing with her brother and telling alexstrasza that vengeance is the only way forward to being buddy buddy with her in the span of 2 cutscenes. no internal conflict shown

I hate to say that this is not likely to happen.

So, something that kind of gets overlooked is that WoW's story structure in many ways follows what was put down in WC3, and that hasn't really changed.

By that, I mean..

Big stories in WoW, no matter what, have content for Orcs and Friends, Humans and Friends, Forsaken, or Night Elves.

They don't always get finished or expanded on more than just being there. But these 4 are still very much treated as the primary throughlines of the game.

It's also why it's the Forsaken, and not say the Tauren in this instance. It's just how it's really done.

Avaloren, Khaz Algar and Undermine should just be zones in the world revamp expansion.
Avaloren has the issue mentioned above: Another 'lol hidden island' moment. The other 2 are just caves and I can't imagine them having a continent sized area with 6-7 zones that are all in a cave. Especially after the poor reception of Zaralek.

The Broken Isles were just a barren, seaweed covered chain of rocks with the largest rock housing the Tomb of Sargeras.

Legion turned it into one of the more popular continents we’ve had with a lot of diversity and plenty of rich lore.

The key art is really cool, but it also reflects how uninteresting a lot of the larger lore characters we were expecting to have huge roles have been throughout the expansion.

- Kalec had a nice story in my opinion, so I'll leave him be.

- Nozdormu just worried and anticipated while Chromie drove most of the "action".

- Vyranoth is interesting, but her story feel forced and was practically written on the wall and called as soon as the Return to Forbidden Reach cinematic dropped.

- No h8 for Tyrande if she's goin Night Warrior lite on Fyrakk.

- Alex had one cool moment vs Raz and then just kinda disappeared aside from conversations with Vyranoth, still confused where the red flight is in this story.

- Merithra and Ebonhorn get a pass, both had decent stories, obviously Ebonhorn having more of a focus. I think he was a logical in-world choice for Aspect, but I really hope we see far more Wrathion in the future. The quick turn on his character felt like a weird move when he's had a huge focus before. Like I said, I just hope this means he is a Khadgar figure in our journies moving forward.

Well, Wrathion is going to take a diplomat role between dragonkin and mortal races, so I expect to see him again in the future.

I feel like Wrathion isn’t an Aspect because Blizzard didn’t want to shackle him to that role so he’s free to join us for other storylines & adventures. I can’t imagine they’re backpedaling on him. He’s one of the most featured and developed WoW original characters.

Exactly this. If anything, they put him as diplomat exactly to have the liberty to make him involved in mortal affairs without tying him to his flight responsibilities.

Legion had a lot more flaws than just legendaries. The AP system was a nightmare and general gear acquisition was probably the worst it's ever been. It was a horrible time to play the game for non-casual players.

It's pretty telling that basically every system introduced in 7.0 was basically a shadow of itself by the end of the expansion

I don’t remember gearing being an issue at all in Legion. World Quests threw gear at you. Then we had Mythic+. The Broken Shore also threw gear at you with Nethershard farming. In terms of casual gearing.

Emerald Nightmare and Antorus were two of the easiest raids we’ve had. Mythic+ dungeons in Legion were also the easiest we’ve had until DF.

There was absolutely zero wrong with artifact power aside from the 0.01% feeling the need to farm Maw of Souls and those that felt like they should copy them, for no reason.

Absolutely. But I think at this point Undermine has been fairly firmly established to be the underground goblin capital city, so expanding on that and turning it into something else would be at least a mild retcon. But it could be done.

For example, the city could have quarries, sunken and ruined parts of the city (damage from Mount Kajaro erupting?), sewers/tunnel networks, areas transformed by Azerite or the roots of Elun'Ahir, all of which could be separated into visually distinct zones with a bit of imagination despite all technically still being part of the goblin capital.

Baine has had more of a role than Jaina in Dragonflight.

In SL she got just as much screen time as Thrall.

Fortunately in BfA you got plenty of Sylvanas, Nathanos, Saurfang, Baine, Talanjii, Lor’themar and Thalyssra whilst Jaina was contained on the alliance side.

Legion she wasn’t even present.
