The dragons/evoker connection is pretty weak at least in the sense of getting "playable versions of those heroes". It's really not the same fantasy at all. Imo Evokers are proof new classes don't need to be rooted in the old RTS heroes.

Nah, it's the Iron Man archetype; A genius inventor who builds and utilizes their weapons as an adventurer/hero. The archetype exists in several MMOs, including WoW. Only difference is the archetype exists in the lore, but not in the playable realm.

If you think about it, rapping is talking over music, and there's background music for every zone in WoW, so every character/player that talks in WoW is a bard.
