Oh, I don't think lore is important at all for Classic+. In fact, rather the opposite. Part of the allure is that you remove a bunch of lore. Trim away that extra fat that accrued over the years, with retcons, cosmic shenanigans, characters dying left and right, and countless writers joining the team and seeking to leave their mark.

I just want the basics.

Quilboar are attacking the Crossroads and Theramore. Go put an end to their reign of terror in the new raid, Bramblepatch Ravine.

Classic players would eath that up. They are there for world feel and gameplay. They dont care about lore as much.

You could legit have a kobold raid and it would be popular if it was fun. You really couldnt do that in retail anymore.

Did we get any resolution to Galakrond in DF?

For me, Dragonfight lore is good, but that's about it. There have been no cool and exciting moments and it has been this way since SL, to be honest (SL lore was garbage). I think every good lore has to have some 'touching and soft' moments, but DF has too much of it and basically no 'BRUUUUUUHHHH LET'S GOOOO' moment, which leads to a boring and lethargic feeling.
That is how i and most of my friends are feeling like.

DF lore is safe and fine. Its not good or bad. Its bland. Hopefully they are willing to take some risks with 11.0 now that Daddy Chris is steering the SS Storytime.

Am I the only one here who's more or less completely in the dark about the storyline of Dragonflight?

I didn't even know who Iridikron was until earlier today. I had to look it up.

I'm super excited for 11.0 but I haven't had much interest in keeping up with the overarching story of Dragonflight. I did the quests for all of the zones in 10.0 and I enjoyed them, but past that, I have no idea what's going on.

You probably are one of the only ones HERE that didnt know, but I wouldnt be shocked to learn that over 50% of the max level playerbase has no idea whats going on. They see cool looking dude that needs to die and has cool loot. Thats all they care about. Rule of Cool is true for most retail players imo.

I thought there was speculation that one of the plans of the antagonists was to bring Galakrond back to life. Maybe I misread that or it was just wishful thinking.
