I do believe that Avaloren is happening, but I do not believe it is the next expansion and I will explain why. As many hints and suggestions there are, Dragon isles was kind of similar. If you remember the legendary cloak questline in BFA where you talk to Wrathion on the balcony he says "Few have heard of the Dragon Isles, fewer have been there..." people 100% thought that a Dragon themed expansion was the next big thing. But then, BAM Shadowlands happend and Dragon Isles was saved for the expansion afterwards.

I believe we will be going Underground first somewhere in current Azeroth and not the other side yet and that is being saved for later. You are forgetting about Khaz Algar. Khaz is a dwarven classical name, Khaz Modan is a mountain where dwarves live, Khaz Algar sounds like another mountain with dwarves and some titan stuff. The Uldaman item/quest talks about it in the game in Dragonflight, I believe this is coming first BEFORE Avaloren.

Next month Trading Post is also full of Dwarven stuff.

The hints for Khaz Algar don't really predate hints about Avaloren. It's hard for me to believe that they would put off Avaloren for several more years.

I think you're missing the point. It's the tone and delivery of this xpac that doesn't feel like WoW. DF seems to want all of the problems in the universe to be solved and everybody to be happy happy kumbaya, like its missing the point of what WoW is.

I've also seen Shaman for all races in multiple leaks this year.

Blizzard has not given Shaman, Paladin, and Druid to all races because these classes require unique art assets for each race: Shaman totems, Paladin mounts, Druid forms.

Adding Shaman to every race at once would require a significant amount of art resources.

I don't see Shaman for all races as a major expansion selling point either. Most races can already be Shaman. But that's just me.

This leak sounds like another filler expansion, not a 20th anniversary expansion.

Even BFA is what WARCRAFT is about. Brought most beautiful landmass. Has some really, REALLY dark fantasy in it (Drustwar, Stormsong Valley, Nazmir....)

IMO the reason they've done the Moonkin customization in 10.2 is so that they don't have to come up with specific form for each race. It's simpler for them and it gives players a nice tool, 1 stone 2 birds kind of thing. I'd imagine they'll expand on it in the future for bear/cat forms too.

This is what I think they're doing as well. They typically hint to the expansion after the next expansion in-game. Avaloren seems too similar to DF thematically.

Exactly. I think the quest item/lore piece in Uldaman Legacy of Tyr was the hint of what's happening next. This entire expansion we are learning and helping out Tyr. Tyr is the bridge to the next expansion which involves the Earthen and Titanic stuff and Khaz Algar. Tyr was telling the green dragonflight chick to stay away from wherever she went too and that is going to be the thing after the next expansion imo and we find new land. But for now we must figure out the underground and titan stuff before we head there is what I believe is happening.

Honestly, I just can’t wait for all the people who act like “if wow doesn’t do the expansion and features I want it’s dead and I’m quitting” to actually quit. Like, if you don’t like a game then don’t play it. Stop whining about it and move on and leave other people to enjoy it.

People talking about Disneycraft and wokeflight and crap like that, okay, GOOD BYE THEN. it’s not for you obviously. Their long running success can obviously survive without your weak imagination and deliberate reductions.

When I stop enjoying games, I stop playing them, I don’t whine about them endlessly and demand they do it the way I think is correct.

I think this new leaker here is really poking at things people expect, but not giving any real vibes. Do leakers tend to stick around and keep dropping info here and there and have conversations in the threads? I feel like I always see them drop it and take off and we find out later it was real. /shrug I dunno.

Also, as much as Khaz Algar and Avaloren seem likely, because we don’t know of anywhere else we could go at this moment in the world of Warcraft, as some people are pointing out, it’s definitely a big possibility that is just early lore and hints dropping for a later patch or 12.0. I think Khaz Algar is imminent, personally, but a previous poster suggested Avaloren could come later, and I think that could be a healthy Choi e for the game, it gives the dev team more time to expand on its background and lore presence. Either way, I’m down to explore new lands.
