If those pics are real, Blizzard is going to lose a lot of subs, simply because this looks like the dragon isles all over again.

Which is why I don't believe they are real. Each expansion tends to look quite a bit different than the previous one.

I was under this impression as well. I thought they did, maybe mistaken for a different one? I know the Storm Breaker one came out and showed how they made the logo.

If the leak is real i'm struggling to see where is the "underground" zone or whatever Towlliee was talking about

If it's real, it could just as easily be only three of the four-five zones. Or that there could be underground sections for each. Or any number of other possibilities.

Towillee is an obnoxious, cold-reading shyster, though. Even if there is an underground zone, or zones.

Incidentally, if it's real, and it's a standard 4-5 zone island on top of one of them being underground and thus not on the overworld, making the new mass even smaller, that would just tickle me.

I'm not sure asset reuse is a pro/con towards it being real or not, they've very clearly been updating and reusing existing kits throughout Dragonflight. They also added like ~200 unique tree models so trees from Dragonflight showing up in 11.0 wouldn't be something I'd think is weird either.

If they didn't spruce up the old one to make it look HD I would say it's a pro argument since it means Blizz updated the bird themselves instead if a faker just reusing the existing asset.

Remember one of the key things of the Algarian earthen is that developed an eerily similar culture to Dwarves. I'd expect the architecture to be similar to Wildhammer.

I'm not really sure I would. Wildhammer are kind of the odd Dwarves out in that their culture isn't overly dwarf like. To be fair, much of what we have on Wildhammer dwarves isn't really around anymore as the RPG's aren't canon.

I think that the person who faked the image with the sliver of armour set cut off on the right admitted it was fake, but not this person. That was the Stormbreak(er?) one and this one had no name.

Yeah, that's probably fair, but not sure we can really tell at this resolution, or even at this stage of development. It's tough.

Does the lighting around "Avaloren" look weird to anyone else?

Looking at the old feature overview trailers, this kind of lighting effect was used for Legion and BfA, but they didn't use it for Shadowlands or Dragonflight.

In the Legion/BfA effect, the light forms around the edge of the letters, like a cast. Yet the light under Avaloren looks like its from different letters.

To add on, blizzards still shots (for dragonflight and shadowlands at least) seem to have been less detail than are shown in these leaks.

Additionally, the cut together videos highlighting expansions areas do have this level of detail. However, the shots in previous expac videos are from varying angles, and maybe two at most shots head on at creatures like these are. The first image the only wide shot we have from this leak, where in previous expac video highlights you’d have the opposite with only one close up focus shot.

Conceptually the point is to show off zones, so a lot of low angle shots where you can only see narrow views of stuff is an odd choice.

Also, as a side note. Blizzard hasn't actually done this "glowing text emerging" thing that was iconic to like, Cata trailer, for a couple expansions now. Not that they couldn't go back, but they seem to have moved on from it in recent years.

I want to agree, but do we think they went through the trouble of making another and putting the character front center screen in this new leak?

Everyone had already forgotten about their last one, not exactly unthinkable for them to have felt a bit attention starved and tried a second time with less work involved.

Blizz changes and breaks patterns too often for a lighting strategy around the continent name to matter. Plus it's a single capture of an in motion effect so can't really say what it's doing.

The Avaloren statue is dual-wielding, I'm pretty sure. Axe in the left hand, hammer in the right raised high.
