Looks very Blizzard tbh, everyone seems to go on a high of something amazing is going to happen and then we get the same old same old, why should this time be any different?

This is actually an interesting thing to consider. Especially if this is supposedly stills from a trailer where stuff is supposed to be moving. Then again, they sometimes do stage it. I can easiliy see the dino howling in a trailer for example. Interesting point.

I see your point too and considered it, but it looks too clean, the baby dino next to the big one, two times the butterflies are just passing by... Also that gryphon statue is literally the one from the Hinterlands, and it doesn't look like it's updated, perhaps just polished or something. And the gryphon in the background looks like it was edited in.

I'm still convinced this is fake (a good one, but fake nonetheless)

As much as I don't want this lukewarm piss to be the real deal, this really reminds me of the pixel hunt on the cinematic still from DF and everyone being convinced there is a reused Garrosh model in it. And the visage form of the dracthyr had a photoshopped cat face or something.

I honestly don't get the point of being negative about 4 Screenshots, without distinct landmarks and a few reused assets from, mostly, recent enough expansions where it makes sense. We know next to nothing about the actual zone stories, the supposed overall story we're heading into other than what's on the leaked Webpage that ties into this. We have a lot of potential visual, yet next to nothing of actual, real "This is what all this is about", no features, just scraps for story moving over from DF (few ingame hints). I agree with you that this just brings out the usual "Nah, nah can't be it", followed by immense negativity when even so much as considering that it might be "It", that I just feel more inclined to die on this hill with a beer in hand and a smile on my face.

The only thing why we believe this is real is that we don't expect Blizzard to deliver anything out of left field and are already expecting something lukewarm and middling like this.

In the harpy screenshot, on the right side, behind the tree is a harpy channeling a beam at a figure. The figure appears to have the exact same markings as the laptop leak's ogre-dwarf thing.

Then if anything, that just solidifies that it is real assuming that the laptop leak is actually real. ANd tbh honest i am not sure how you can even tell with such low pixels. No disrespect, but that is some copium level stuff.

Honestly it’s probably far less than 3% of the zones, assuming the Avaloren zones are the size of DF ones.
Not all of the Waking Shore looks like the Obsidian Citadel. Not all of Azure span looks like Brackenhide, etc etc.

It's the dichotomy of the WoW player. Blizzard could make a persons dream expansion with every feature that they could ever want and they would still find some way to hate on it. It's literally just 4 screenshots and you have people doing whole ass retrospectives on what went wrong in 11.0 it's just comical at this point in the games life cycle because it never, ever, ever fails to happen with every single expansion going all the way back to TBC.

If it's real, which I doubt, then why the heck would there be a desert zone?

Frosty mountain zone I can buy, and something stormy. I could also see a lush forest or jungle to represent Elun'Ahir's influence. Perhaps something by the water, for Naga, Azshara, making landfall, etc.

But a desert? I can't really think of why anything involving the earthen of Khaz Algar, a storm, Elune, Eonar, "Primal Emerald Dream", Azshara, the Harbinger, Xal'atath, the Old Gods, etc., would justify having a desert zone.

This is just a faulty argument. Why would "Place I'm making a bunch of assumptions about have a zone I don't expect to be there?"

Why would Zandalar have a desert zone? Nothing about Zandalar told us it would have a desert, until we got the lore for why it did.
