Well, I may lower the score for this one as well after I've let it simmer for a while. Right now I feel like it just has to be the real deal, but some of the people in this thread have brought up fairly decent points about why it might not be.

Although... a lot of the "debunking" here reminds me of us desperately trying to debunk Dracthyr because no one wanted to believe we'd up with those starved lizards as the new race.

I don’t mind an expansion without Undermine. I do mind an expansion looking like a rehash of our current expansion like this leak is suggesting.

It's 100% fake. There's no way they go from Elf -> Dwarf theme. The day WoW has a dwarf theme will be more embarrassing than Dracthyr, and fake. Dwarf is not a Warcraft theme, sorry. Orc, Troll, Undead, Human, Ogre, Elvish, Dragons (sigh), all are. But, but Magni and the Bronzebeards!! Exactly, people really don't like the times dwarves have taken charge of the reins, even briefly. I'm sorry there's just no way. To go from Arthas, Illidan, Thrall, and even Sylv, and Dragons, to overarching dwarf prototagnism? No way. Great point on the temporary copy. The thing that is a red flag to me is the placement of "Khaz Algar" and "The Everward" on the side margins. Would you agree that typically those would be further in, if there at all? They seem far too close to the edge of the screens for modern web design.

It's weird that this is identical, but then the entire body is totally different conceptually. Like the adult is a naturally formed individual instead of a sculpted construct, with a completely different sort of stone and structure. The horns flip around to be curving the opposite way, the mouth goes from being rocks to having an actual tongue and biology.

I just don't think we can judge much based on 4 quick screen shots is all. We have no real context on them other than that they look like WoW. DF zones have so much biome variance that getting one single shot of a subzone isn't really telling as to what the larger zone will look like. We know they wanna keep Dragon/Dynamic riding going forward so the zone size will have to be large enough to accommodate that. I mean honestly I could even see the first and third screen shots being in the same zone where it starts out as a prairie and as you go further in turns into a dust bowl/desert kinda thing.

I want an Arabian desert. Slap some brokers in there and give me a Middle East inspired zone instead please.

I saw someone say the zones match those zone descriptions exactly but the first screenshot looks like a forest, not rocky peaks. The other ones can be made to match if the stormy zone ends up also being snowy, but there's no actual snow showing in the screenshot so from what we've seen, the zones don't actually match the pictures. Entirely possible if it's all real that other areas of the zones match the descriptions given in that post but the pictures we've seen don't. And they are incredibly safe guesses to make, because Dragonflight and BFA also both had snowy mountains, deserts, and rocky peaks, and jungle/forest areas. The supposed plateau from the website leak description also doesn't seem very elevated, and instead seems to be between elevated buttes. I dunno, it just doesn't feel cohesive to me. Maybe one of the three is real rather than all three being real.

Yeah, it's not perfect. The more interesting detail about that leak, to me, is that they went out of their way to specify that the stone dwarves have real hair as opposed to hair made out of stone—which we can see is indeed the case based on the screenshot.

Seems like an odd detail to share.

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree with you. I've been ready to believe this is a legit leak - the leak - for some time today, but the more I read, especially the @Hitei analysis, @Fahrad Wagner passion for revamp and especially @Teriz disappointment, I can't help myself but acknowledge it just can't be real

But imagine all people from Blizzard reading this thread and traversing through the despair, denial and utter dissapointment in a situation the leak was legit. Damn, that would be a bitter pill to swallow

I would legitimately love to see that too. You could do so much with it and also be a cool way to bring the Djinn back into the picture but I also think a cool Old West Cowboy vibe zone would be awesome too.

To be fair, Blizz is probably used to people insulting legit leaks these days. The community has been dismissing legit leaks as stupid and something Blizz would never do since at least Wrath and probably also TBC.

In our defense, High Elves on the Horde and retconning Eredar to be Draenei and also friendly remains still pretty dumb to this day. Not that I haven't enjoyed Draenei storylines since then.

I don't think it's reasonable to compare changed ideas over the game's lifetime to the situation in question. 11.0 has been in development for like a year at this point, this would be immediately 180'ing on a position, or even saying that they weren't going to change specs while actively working on changing specs in the background.

Okay, so now that WoWhead has reported on the "new continent" leak, I'm ready to say it was fake. WoWhead wouldn't spotlight a real leak.

Except they did when they discovered that list of datamined achievements, with one of them saying "Algarian Stormrider - Heroic Edition"

I mean it all depends on if we view the three leaks as one complete three parter and not three leaks that have a nice overlap.
There are a lot of possible combinations of validity possible besides none of them and all three.
