Because all of their original characterization and motivations were thrown in the trash and they became four different iterations of "I'm gonna conquer this land, heh heh heh!"


Well for one thing, having any sort of complex motivation other than "I'm gonna rule da world!"

Except of course none of the characters you listed have motivations that could be summed up that way

Illidan wanted to create an army of fel orcs using magtheridon to be ready for Kil'jaden when he came for him; so he takes control of Outland to facilitate that; he was desparate against a more powerful foe
Vashj was just loyal to her queen and Illidan, so she wanted to control all the waters of outland to facilitate their plans; she was loyal to her people and their goals
Kael'thas just wanted to cure his people and turned to paranoia and madness when he couldn't, stoked by KJ telling him to betray illidan and join the legion; Kael just wanted to redeem his people and was too consumed with his failure to return home, and his use of fel magic turned him even more mad
Arthas, well, is Arthas - say what you like but calling him generic is either ignorant of the lore or just dishonest

Either way, none of these characters screams generic to me and none of them are doing what they're doing just to rule over people for no reason beyond evil or base desires

Most people agree it is lazy and uninspired regardless of whether the pics are real or not

It's just if they're real it's another 2 years in a dull expansion, so obviously people want it to be fake, and there is lots of credible evidence to support that hope

Tyr deliberately making it so the Incarnates learn how to infuse with the elements (the book reveals they didn't know how until Fyrakk learned it first, and the details of that event are not revealed) for his egg strategy thing would be a great reveal.

People are HOPING it's fake, but there are lots of people who agree that just because it's lazy doesn't mean it's fake.

I'm indifferent either way because I personally thought the leaks were pretty, but for your sake and everyone else's sake I hope the official reveal turns out to be whatever it is you're all hoping for.

Someone go through the length to create a remade HD-version of an old skin seems a bit much effort to create a fake leak...

Thats the thing. We do know of several creators who do remake assets for fun however basically every single asset used in this leak is new or remade minus a few small things. And its 4 different environs with 4 different images.

if this is a fake the guy who made it either had a team or is crazy good and deserves praise...or the simpler answer is true. its a leak. LMAO

Yeah either the screenshots are legit and the real deal or Blizzard needs to extend a job offer to whoever put them together. Everything else, all the insane conspiracy ramblings to prove it's fake, all of it misses the point that at a glance and even a closer look it just looks like WoW straight up in a way that no other visual fake leak has managed to touch.

I have no real dog in the fight; I just think a world revamp is much more needed that an asspull landmass we won't care about
