I'm going to choose to believe the screenshots because if they turn out to be real, then I win because I picked the right leak.
If I'm wrong, then we get literally any other expansion, which would be my personal preference, so I still win.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could post a new leak so this thread can get back on track and not circlejerk around whether or not wow is in maintenance mode.
I do think a lot of people love the combat. But mostly just in dungeons and raids. Overworld combat just feel like a time sink sometimes, you know.
You are rarely in such a big danger that you can't just go and take a piss. But they do kick you off your mount if you are trying to go from point A to point B and you are not flying. It can get annoying. For me, anyway.
Not sure what I would say my favorite part is.
I will say that I enjoyed the pre-Cataclysm world the most. All the locked doors leading to places I shouldn't be in (Grim Batol, Karazhan catacombs, Old Ironforge, Gilneas) and all the tricky shit done to somehow circumvent it. Back when the world was not as lived in, but the mysteries were cool mysteries and you could pretend to have uncovered them yourself.
But that is gone now. What is left is: Amy I enjoying the vibe of this zone/class/race? or am I not.
Honestly, some people really underestimate the value of updating the systems.
Updating the Trees to a modern day standards is half the thing: the more important half is having easy scalable system to build upon in future.
All those minor and not updates and interfaces are very valuable to a long-term health of the game.
It wouldn't be good to have two expansions like this in a row, but I respect DF for modernizing the systems
Yeah the situation with overworld combat in WoW is kind of messy. Absent borrowed power systems, the scaling is not so sharp that we can completely dominate things. In order to have mobs last long enough that they can survive patch release when they are being stormed by full raids, they have significantly increased base health, meaning that if you try them later down the line, good luck. And at the same time it's not like they've allowed overworld mobs to have challenging mechanics since forever (I think the last time that happened was MoP).
As someone who has reverse engineered most if not all of the systems in WoW for work/hobby reasons, WoW is not currently in maintenance mode and I don't expect it to go in maintenance mode during 11.0 either based on ongoing work on client guts that have been happening for the last 2 expansions and are still in the works. Anyone claiming otherwise is being disingenuous, either to push an agenda or to troll.
Also, I'm not sure a genuine leak would even be picked up on anymore at this point if it hit this thread right in the face, it's moving too fast and arguably interesting information gets drowned out pretty much instantly. We'll probably just have to rough it out until BlizzCon unless some Blizzard-sourced/extremely good visual leaks come out that catch enough attention.

In a hypothetical world, if the 4 images, text, and website "leaks" are all linked and real, I would be pretty content. However, without a "major feature" like Torghast/Mage Tower/Artifact Weapon in 11.0 (with all the information shown from these "leaks"), I would be disappointed. Time will tell!

I have plenty of problems with DF, some things are not to my liking at all. I just think your points are intellectually dishonest
Sure budElite in PvP
Ksm/KS Hero in M+
Mythic Raider of current tier
So everything with ranks = mobile game. Im not sure where your hate for BoP items comes from? They added the workorder system which is basically the AH but with human interaction required (unless you post public orders). I can see some people disliking that, i personally think its coolAre you really so easily impressed with a bullshit crafting revamp that added unneeded rankings like a mobile game and turned formerly boe items into bop items with rejected azerite traits yet think this is somehow a good design? There are people who really like this shit? Seriously?Having crafters in your guild and knowing people on your server has value again, i see that as a positive. Feel free to disagree there but your subjective dislike of that interaction does not mean the system is a failure. Were you so easily impressed by the bullshit vanilla crafting and talent trees that had 95% irrelevant nodes? Seriously?
But i agree, lets not derail any further and get back to speculation. Personally i give those leaks a pretty good chance of being real, i dont think any of the debunks hit the mark as hard as some think they do. Personally speculating that they will hit M+/Raid/PvP with some big changes next expac since they seem to be on the track of revamping the basics and make them future proof. How that will look like i have honestly no clue about, i just hope we keep the 20 man mythic
This choices that matter thing is just a smokescreen, you know. At lower levels, none of them are bad choices and at higher levels there will always be a meta that will be enforced by gatekeepers.

Now that actually sounds legit interesting. Care to ellaborate in a way leymen would understand?
Are classes way different? Did it magically entirely change the system? Nah, not really. They brought back old stuff, put some few new things into the talent tree and that’s about it. Most classes are not drastically different from the way they were before. Mythic+ changes the approach to do dungeons completely. I appreciate what they did with talents, but it’s not comparable to Mythic+ or World Quests when it comes to changes that entirely changed the way how we play the game.
Make Alliance Great Again

I mean, one of the text leaks did say sailable player boats. If those are real and can be customized, that can be fun. Although the current map wouldn't allow us to visit a good chunk of the zones, which is a misstep, I feel. Also we would need to eliminate the loading screen between some continents for it to be an evergreen system.

The definition of "content" is always a nebulous thing over at moomoo champ. What you enjoy, is content. What you don't is not.
At least this seems to be what the majority thinks.
