Couldn't Fyrn and the other thing be similar though? Auspicious Arborwyrn for Retail, and Fyrn as a recooured spirit of competition pet for Classic?

Weird how Moonkins got revamped ogre animations. A few "leaks" have said them to be a new playable race, maybe one of them is true after all.

That is weird. Though I imagine the secret is less exciting than we make it out to be. My guess would be that they just names the pets two different things on Retail and Classic for some reason, despite the only difference likely being graphical.

I just hope we dont get Dynamic flight in new zones from start, it kills immersion really. Best way for me would be like TBC and WOTLK, level up without flying then buy/gain flying once you reach max level.

Make lore master or path finder mandatory for it, but please for gibt sake of everything that’s fun, let us fly at launch when we completed the required tasks. Ever since they started to gate flying I hated it. I don’t want to buy it the first minute of the new expansion, but after I’ve finished it. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.

I want my time on the ground. And no, I'm not taking the "you don't need to fly if you don't want to, no one's forcing you to" argument from the dragonriding fanboys. I do need to fly too if others have the ability because world events, rares and farmable nodes are all reached faster by those who use the system than those who don't, thus, giving the ones rejecting flying (or dynamic flying) a huge disadvantage.
I personally always thought pathfinder was a great way to gate flying, idk what people were conplaining about. "I have to work for a goal, while that goal should be handed over to me in the first minute because I pay for this game". Soon mythic+20 gear might be automatically handed to you upon reaching max level.

Pretty much. Ask for loremaster and a decent level of progression on factions (Renown 15 or 20). Someone dedicated would be able to do it in 3-4 weeks, most people should be able to do it before the first patch.

It’ll be a huge pain to traverse zones if they keep them dragonflight sized. Which they most likely will with dynamic flight.

I feel it's fine to give Dragonriding at the start so long as you cap players at the version of Dragonriding you have without any improvements for longer. It's still useful for certain things, but mostly it's a free glider to and from quests, not a better mount to be used at all times.

Make Renown give upgrades to the zone, rather than glyphs giving you inherent buffs. More updrafts, more vigor refills, more speed boosts, etc.

Make it so that by the time you reach max Renown for a zone you can fly almost as well as you can currently. If alts are a concern you could have those unlocks be account wide.

As much as I love Dragonriding, you do lose a lot in terms of zones.

Like, the DF zones are really nicely designed, however, you barely even realize because you are only in a select few areas where you kill stuff.

It's the same issue you had previously with regular flying. Difference is just that the flying is more inherently fun, and there is a chance you can fail at it.

As much as I love Dragonriding, you do lose a lot in terms of zones.

Like, the DF zones are really nicely designed, however, you barely even realize because you are only in a select few areas where you kill stuff.

That can be solved by having small vignettes EVERYWHERE and just rotating them so that the map does not feel busy at all times. Problem is that at launch, DF did not have a large number of world quests and launch rares were useless to do outside Obsidian Citadel.

None of those Avaloren screenshots involve anything especially woody so I'm gonna overblown the importance of this in my mind. I'm not even a doomer about the screenshots but I will be disappointed if the new continent is 95% reused assets unless they come right out and say it's because the revamp is coming in 12.0.

I think it could have still worked capped at double speed instead of triple speed. Dragonriding world quests/challenges could have stayed thrilling by allowing for higher speeds using wind currents.

Yeah, there's a lot seemingly of wood related terminology stuff encrypted, more than I'd assume is relevant for a chinese new year mount.

The Auspicious Arborwyrm is the chinese new year wood dragon mount 100% sure. "Arbor" is "tree" in latin.

Yep, but again, it'd be the first time there'd be a chinese new year mount on Classic.
