The funny thing about Algar is it means seaweed or algae on the ocean floor.

Blizzard isn't always terribly subtle.

I'm not going to be surprised at all if we get an underwater zone with Sea Dwarves

I doubt it's the case though since the mount name wouldn't make much sense for an underwater setting. Unless there are storms underwater?

Good point. Also in the Erinethria book, they did refer to a sea called The Storming Sea...

You could have a shallow water zone. It would have little to do aboveground because it would mostly be sheer cliffs and then you have underwater parts and sea caves so you are mostly staying close to the surface and constantly see the sky box, especially if its raining lightning above (there are rare electrical storms where you can have thousands of lightning strikes in a single storm, imagine that, nonstop)

The first Voidstorm leak also mentions an underwater zone, but that whole post feels like it's formatted too well to be a genuine leak.

Im so confused what standard you have set here? You sound like a petulant kid whining that the blue icing on his birthday cake is sky blue instead of navy. Like what do you see in those images that tells you the game is mid? Its 4 still images. You know nothing (If it is real) besides what is visible in those 4 images.

The different here is that I don't think you have an attainable standard. Im not saying to expect nothing, but if you just assume shit you are gonna be let down.

Have you seen the reaction towards the images? Why are you acting like I’m the one who has standards that are too high when basically everybody in this thread is merely whelmed by that leak? As I said, there’s exactly one person that’s positive towards them (and it’s not even you), all others are meh. If you don’t believe me just go over this thread again. It’s not like I’m the one being disappointed by them, we all are. And we already made a case why we feel that way, so there’s no need to do it again… and again.

Honestly, a Northrend revamp would make a lot of sense, especially after DF. If they are going to revamp the world, would be pretty cool that we get Northrend in 11.0 and Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms in 12.0.

12:30-13:30 WyldOdyssey reveal (renamed from project Odyssey)
13:30-14:30 World of Warcraft: Azeroth Reborn reveal (world revamp expansion)
14:30-15:30 Mauga reveal (Overwatch defense hero)
15:30-16:30 World of Warcraft Legends reveal ("Classic+")
16:30-17:30 Showdown in the Badlands deep dive (HS expansion)
17:30-18:30 Warcraft Rumble PC release (PC and mobile)

Honestly if they’d announce Classic+ they’d just take away all the hype from the new retail expansion because Classic+ would undoubtly overshadow any other announcement for Warcraft.

They would have to do a lot for Northrend to make a revamp interesting to players. With Wrath Classic currently out, a lot of players might have a bit of Northrend fatigue as well so the timing wouldn't be the best.

That already happened when they announced BfA and WoW Classic in the same Opening Ceremony.

Someone also tried to cause confusion by claiming they faked the 11.0 zone screenshots. As proof, they posted an obviously AI upscaled version of one of the screenshots, saying it was the "original".

So is the Blizzcon panel name leak the one I see being posted around currently? Seems a bit overambitious at first glance, but people seem to be taking it seriously, which makes me think I am missing something.
