It may make sense but it would also be the end of alot of people WoW careers as Zaralek was a complete disaster and I don't think Blizz can afford to lose too many more players.

I had no issue with Zaralek, and I don't believe anyone would consider it a "disaster". It definitely isn't on the level of misfire that Vasj'hir was where people actively complained about it to the point where Blizzard never did such a zone ever again.

Even beyond that, if Blizzard was previewing the next expansion via Zaralek, there's no way they could reverse development by that point.

What we knew about the Dragon Isles was 1.) there's probably dragons there and 2.) Wrathion is looking for it.

From my perspective it was, my whole guild quit the game my friends list of 100 people have stopped playing ever since Zaralek was introduced and they show no interest in returning, so in my opinion it's a massive fail.

Also looking at the official forums there are alot of complaints about how the content is dead and no one can get what they need doing done, unhappy people complain and there's quite abit of it, you cannot say it's not been a disaster to me as I know you're being disingenuous with that response.

Well I was also summoned by a few posters to help get the post count up, so I decided to help out.

As to the "Soul of Azeroth" leak I posted earlier, to those wondering via PMs, it was just a blurb I heard through the grapevine. I wouldn't take it as gospel, just something someone told me the other day. Could be real, most likely it's not.

If it is real, here's a view of the next expansion in reverse with Iridikron going in instead of Deathwing coming out;

I really hope there's going to be less leak tribalism (both ways) in the upcoming week and just more hype instead. Would be great if there's no additional official leaks either, just to enhance that surprise.

E.g. could you extend the Dragon Isles Map and add more zones into a second Island to the North or something similar? Or is there a database limitation on how large continents can be and Dragon Isles are reasonably close to that limit already?

E.g. could you extend the Dragon Isles Map and add more zones into a second Island to the North or something similar? They have a hard engine limit of 64x64 (right now). Any expansion of existing continents will have to fit in there, Dragon Isles is pretty centered so plenty place for theoretical expansion in the red grid below (although that would be a first).

If I had found or will find a full-on leak I don't think I'd share it this close to BlizzCon, outside of the classic datamining on encrypted things I've already posted about I don't think I'll be doing any looking around before BlizzCon.

Ah it is completely centered so yeah, it wouldn't work. I was thinking that the leak Darkarath reposted above made no sense with Amirdrassil as capital unless they would make Northrend Revamp and the 3 zone Avaloren in the same map.

Well they added Mechagon in BfA, Isle of Thunder and Timeless Isle in MoP, right?

Yeah, tbh most of this "leak season" wasn't fun. On the one side people were defending the leak which closest matched their wishlist to the death, on the otherside were the doomers who are just miserable and who aren't conent unless everyone else also feels bad about the game.
We need a "leak season" with "Eye of Aszhara"-rickrolls hidden in links and not forum fights
