I would be surprised if we got a majority Titan themed expansion and not tinkers for this kind of reason.

We are around page 2109, and time's 15:38 in CET.

Yesterday at 15:38 CET, we were at page 2051, so 57-58 pages in 24 hours.

15:38 CET the day prior happened on page 1981, meaning 70 pages in 24 hours.

It seems then that my estimates for the decrease in activity, which this is the third time I'm looking into, is fairly consistent.

Restricting Tinkers to gobs and gnomes is class suicide.

Not if you add Vulpera to the mix and give each small race their own unique art assets with mechs, claw packs, and mechanical summons.

Gazlowe actually has such an ability in island expeditions in BFA. It's a passive that increases movement speed of the mech when out of combat.

All the small races are fundamentally not very popular; they need to make it have a wider appeal

A huge reason DH was so popular was the fact it's exclusive to the most popular horde race and the second most popular alliance race

A huge reason Monk has never been that popular, despite being an amazing class, is the ties to pandas

Hince why I said “valid lore reason”

And the valid lore reason is that small races create mech suits because they lack physicality to fight one on one with bigger races like Orcs and Draenei. This is why pretty much every major Goblin and Gnome lore character is fighting inside a mech.
That’s not a valid lore reason given every race can be an Engineer, even in lore.
And there’s also plenty of non-tinker gnomes. Hell, my Gnome could always be a warrior on-par with an Orc or Tauren.

Also… using Orcs & Draenei are terrible examples. The Iron Horde was pretty tech focused… and the Draenei have literal mech suits & are seen using them more than the Gnomes do.

Yeah; I can envision WoW tinkers having a permanent mech and getting a d-va type ability, when killed they get put into their normal form which has like 10% of their usual health and they can use it as a cheat death until they can resummon their mech

Would that help? People often seem to dislike playing the cute shorties, they'd probably talk about being "forced to play" Vulperas and gnomes

Probably would be how it works imo.
It’s how the tinkers in the island expansions work

Yeah, I doubt Blizzard bases their decisions on that. If that were the case, Evokers would be available for every race right now.

Kind of amusing picturing a non-Dracthyr performing the dragon-themed abilities like deep breath

Evokers have abilities specifically related to dragon physiology, like flying and breathing fire. Every race can learn engineering. It's not quite the same.

Perhaps they wanted to push people to play the new race and class by basically forcing you to do both or neither

Personally I despise dracthyr so I won't ever play a evoker until they do open it up, so I'd welcome them making it available to every class

They don't need to open up DH because it's already massively popular; they have however, given monk to every race in the game - suggesting they want more people playing it

Evoker could absolutely work on other races, even if it's a bit weird

Mages already have dragonbreath for example

Vulpera are one of the more popular allied races. Last I checked they were right behind Void Elves and Z Trolls, which is impressive considering that they were one of the last allied races to become available. I'm pretty sure they became playable via the user base demanding to make them playable.

Making them Tinkers and giving them "Junker tech" would make them a quite popular option in my estimation.

Also Goblins are surprisingly more popular than Worgen and Dwarves.

Most classes have a roar type abilities, it could work

The tail swipe stuff would be interesting - I guess the kick animation from monks?

Yeah but like someone said there's no more reason to keep all races from.being tinkers.

"Because they're small and need mechs to compensate" is week when you got bigger races like LFD with their own Mechs...

    AND

When a gnome and goblin warrior is just as much of a threat as a fucking 8 footall bull man

To be fair, Mage's "dragonbreath" conjures a dragon head that breathes fire. The mage doesn't literally breathe fire out of their mouth. There is a difference.
