I just want Survival to be 1h dual wield. Who uses spears in a forest? Rexxar style hatchets would be so cool.

I share your the sentiment for DW survival, but don't diss the hunting spear.

People used spears before modern humans popped up, it's the OG crafted weapon.
And the most useful at that.

But still, doesn’t explain why a Draenei couldn’t learn Gnomish/Goblin technology/engineering.

Reskin to what? What are you going to reskin something like a Pocket Factory or a Rock-it Turret into? Also are only Draenei going to get this reskin while everyone else gets Goblin/Gnome assets? That makes zero sense.

And its not about Draenei learning Gnomish/Goblin engineering, it's about Draenei having their own type of technology and a Tinker class not being able to facilitate it.

And frankly it shouldn't be facilitated because it kind of goes out of the bounds of a medieval/steampunk MMO game.

I don't actually dislike the Dracthyr, I just find it was such a weird "worst of both worlds" to give us these unknown bipedal dragon things while at the same time not allowing them to show transmogs. At that point, I can't help but question why we didn't just go with an actual (tiny) dragon form, allowing every race to be the visage.

The decision to not allow transmogs on them is precisely why I'll never make one. I mean, transmogs have been a huge deal for a pretty massive part of the playerbase for a real long time. Even before it was implemented people were chasing the good looking armors. It's completely bizarre to make a new race and not let it use 90% of armor at all

I don't think DW survival would mean no spear survival. You'd want to have both. It creates a clear concept for talents as well which is always useful.

How many tauren monks did you see prior to mop?

None, but we saw plenty of Human, Undead, Blood Elf, Gnome, and Draenei monks before MoP. Also its kind of hard to justify the argument that other races can't learn martial arts when every race has a warrior class.

We’re using Draenei as an example as to how racial reskins could work if blizzard wanted to.

However the likely option they’ll take is to just give everyone Gnomish/Goblin assets.

The other thing that disappoints me about Dracthyr as a race is their basic casting animation (ex: living flames) such a lost opportunity to not make their basic cast also come from their mouth as a breath. In the future that'd allow for shamans breathing thunder and warlocks breathing chaos bolts!

Despite all of my criticism, I still love my derpy laser breathing dragon man.

Well no because Goblins and Gnomes still fit the steampunk concept (including that hotrod) and by nature their tech is wacky and somewhat unreliable. Further, limiting a tech class to those small races prevents WoW from becoming Warhammer.

Draenei technology is far beyond both those races, and you codify that into a class and you change the entire texture of the game, because people are going to want the space lasers instead of the more pedestrian clockwork bots, bullets, and bombs.

Find out about Deathwing and Malygos and everything that has happened since he died, feels bad about it and decided to help mortals as much as he can. We cut to the Titans starting to stir, are aware of the Voids plans, they want Tyr and Odyn to get everything under control. Tyr pleads with the titans to side with the mortals, there is some in fighting amongst the Titans maybe Eonar and Aggramar are on our side, Sargeras is watching quietly.

Tyr believes if we deal with the void ourselves we can convince the titans to side with us. Odyn while not in direct conflict is trying to stop us.

Who said they’d be shrunk?
The “mech” could either work as a transformation (like G.M.O.D) or could just be an upgraded claw pack for the larger races.
