Again we’re beyond that at this point. Hell, the LFDs racial is literally an orbital laser fired from a space ship in orbit.

There's nothing wrong with giving individual races crazy stuff. The problem is when you spread the crazy stuff into classes that any race can roll into. A class where every race can hop into a mech, fly around and shoot lasers from space at each other turns WoW into something it wasn't meant to be.

Naturally excited about 11.0, but -very- curious to see what they end up doing with 1.15 (and I guess whatever makes Cataclysm Classic special).

Chris Metzen hopefully delivering something he is genuinely passionate about because his vision of Azeroth (and Sam et al) is/was my favorite.

and

Anything related to OW2; I played a ton of OW on release back in the day but as they added heroes I lost interest and the "sequel" removed any realistic possibility I ever reinstall.
(If "least excited" has to be WoW-related then I suspect I am least excited for the Q&A because I fear it will be too heavily curated with softball fluff, though I'd love to be surprised!)

I'm least excited for any announcement which isnt world revamp. Sorry but at this point I had enough of "There is a continent we never heard of, was hidden the entire time BS". Pandaria was okay, Dragon Isles was already forced. I don't want a bigger world, i want to enjoy the current one. We had 13 years with these quests, it can go, other story can take its place.

Ironic because that kind of stuff has been in the game for the majority of wow’s lifetime.

Not the same thing, since those races were brought into the Paladin class in order to balance out the factions. Same thing happened with Shaman and Druids. We don't need that for a Tinker class since both factions would get two races each.

Tbh Vulpera tinkers don’t make any more sense lore wise than Draenei or Nightborne/Belf tinkers. (Hell even Mag’har fit the ‘tinker’ thing better than Vulpera)

Melee survival is the worst decision they've ever made regarding class design

I'd have made it a spear-throwing spec that has less range (say, 25y) but more mobility than other Hunter specs and a couple abilities that bring you in melee/launch you out of it. The fantasy would have been to weaken foes with ranged throws, grenades, and traps then close in for the kill. I do like the current theme of fighting alongside your pet but it's still weird to toss bombs at someone who's right in your face. And Hunter players didn't sign up to play a fully melee spec to begin with.

Seeing Metzen back on stage is going to be a treat, but I hear it was super anxiety-inducing and difficult for him, so with that in mind I suppose I'd be a little worried about him as well. But I love the energy and crowd work he'd always bring for the announcements! He's a rock star at heart

It is exactly the same thing; it shows that races can have different lore behind why they can be a class if Blizzard so desires

I'm super curious to see what they're doing with Classic, I don't think the hype is as big in this thread because it's mostly retail-focused but I've been seeing nothing but wild speculation about 1.15, the new classic season, Cataclysm, etc in my personal circles.

You used GMOD, an established mech already in the game. I'm saying that a Tinker class would get a unique, class only type of mech. Blizzard isn't going to offer one race a mech where they can see the pilot and another where they transform into a robot or only get a claw pack. That's not how it works.

Actually, TBC was the first expansion with Vanilla as zero. Making DF the 9th expansion while 11.0 will be the 10th expansion.
