To be honest, I'm most excited where the story will lead us to and whether they will genuinely start to care about lore again - especially after Metzen's return. Even if this is an MMORPG where devs focus mostly on gameplay I think the warcraft franchise is in desperate need of an interesting arch where you actually take part in instead of only being readable in ingame books and witnessing it in 2min cinematics. I think they kinda lost track after the start of shadowlands, before that I had the impression that they're building something great culminating in the ICC scene with Bolvar where the sky rips apart - which turned into a completely inconsistent mess. It just had so much potential... So whatever it will be - Avaloren, world revamp or something completely different - I'm excited for better and more lore. Therefore it's kinda easy for me to answer what I'm least excited about: the 10th iteration of a previously functional spec or another overhaul of a system that did kinda well before.

I'd say if we get a new class next expansion, and it really doesn't feel like the right time for it, it would probably be something related to Dwarf/Earthen culture. Not gonna even pretend to have ideas for that, but I know Tinker is not it.

Not only does WoW have Atomic/Information Age stuff like airplanes and rock music, it has...
Spaceships, laser guns, teleporters - let's be real, Azeroth is more technologically advanced in some ways than Earth. Heh.
Cosmic greetings, all, I'm the Raccoonatic Commander!
Leowyld of Emerald Dream-US
Which probably explains why LFDs are one of the least played races in the game.
Also its not a problem if a single race does it. You can excuse that as something they just do. It becomes a larger problem when you have essentially Forest Elves and Savage Trolls inside giant robots shooting lasers at each other.
A lost titan facility is hardly on the same level as what I described. Lost tech is a hallmark of such games.Or when it happens in settings like Ulduar that had orbital cannons.
I highly doubt you're getting Druids expanded to every race. If it happens I'll bet the first on here saying I'm wrong. Also if/when they add Mechagnome druids, chances are they’re getting a robotic moonkin form.
What would make that different from a Tinker doing it visually? (Ignoring the fact nobody said Tinkers would use orbital satellite lasers)
I still have copium for playable naga. I have wanted them as a full race since TFT
I didn't say it was. I said a medieval RPG player, which WoW has a lot of. There are players out there who actively escape from the more tech/steampunk aspects of the game by playing the more magical/medieval races.
If their races are included into a tech/steampunk class, then they can't escape from it.

The only controversial thing that comes to mind would be F2P.
Probably that would have warrant no live QA to avoid Diablo Immortal situation.
I honestly was sure F2P is coming (trading post slowly increasing micro transaction appeal points at that potential) but then Blizzard announced 12month subscription bundle and they wouldn't do that without notification about WoW going F2P, and I wasn't ai sure about that.
But thinking about that for some time, I doubt 11.0 will come out earlier than in 1 year, so if Blizzard would want to announce F2P they can easily do this at Blizzcon, by saying 'Starting with 11.0 WoW goes F2P'
Also on completely different matter - they surely won't announce three new expansions or make 3year road map for WoW.
Thats just bad idea. Imagine if first year would look meh and people would bitch around "Let's cut it out and get to the content meant for 2025 quicker!"
That would be pain in the ass for not good benefits.
No, they won't do such thing.
Lol that is far from the reason why they’re not that popular.
So why is it ok for Vulpera to do it but not Elves. (Especially the elves that have mechs)Also its not a problem if a single race does it. You can excuse that as something they just do. It becomes a larger problem when you have essentially Forest Elves and Savage Trolls inside giant robots shooting lasers at each other.
Given blizzard has added things like canonical Lightforged Draenei Warlocks I don’t see why they wouldn’t expand druids.I highly doubt you're getting Druids expanded to every race. If it happens I'll bet the first on here saying I'm wrong.
Especially with next patch having everyone enter the emerald dream which was typically limited to druids.
I'm quite sure the customizable moonkin is the first step of making them available for all races - why create a new, customizable but generic form (where you can always add additional options aswell in the future) if you plan on creating new moonkin forms for all the other races anyways. It literally cuts down on 1/5 of the work they have to do initially, especially as they always can add "full transformations" down the line if they really want it.
While WoW does have all these things, IMO it's clear the game is at its core meant to invoke medieval fantasy. For instance, despite the tech being available for modern warfare, warfare is pretty consistently portrayed as a rank-and-file affair in World of Warcraft (e.g. the Battle of Lordaeron cinematic.)
Questions like, "why dont x faction just use nukes, or teleport behind the enemy, or nuke them from orbit with their spaceship, or equip all their soldiers with gnomish death rays, etc." are easily answered with, "because WoW is at its heart medieval fantasy". Although greater tech is available in the game and they should logically be using that tech instead of fighting battles rank-and-file, they mostly don't.
