The difference is a Sunwalker using Holy magic that looks the same as a Human Paladin isn’t as huge a discrepancy as a Draenei in a LF Warframe using Goblin abilities instead of magitech.

BTw, this is why I created an Artificer concept, because Draenei and Nightborne using magitech honestly constitutes a separate class from Goblin/Gnome Tinkers.

Feel free to read about it in my signature.

The only class that comes to mind that could be related would be Runemaster, but the gameplay (according to the devs) was stripped and used in DKs and Monks. Still, they could find another gameplay type to add them, but seems unlikely.

By the final 24 hours I imagine we will move at a pace closer to pages per minute, rather than per hour. So 2500 should be easy, and possibly even get to 3k.

What kind of culture should the Marlakkoas have? New zealand native inspired?

@Arafal, make it so. Kakapo race is the only true 11.0 leak.

Yes, but they're also all professors with Einstein level IQ and will solve all of Azeroth's problems with math.

Blizzard could rename Tinker to Artificer and make them use repurposed titan tech. Then they could add glyphs for gnomish/goblin aesthetics

Nobody cares because Blizz really brought up the Evoker thing out of the blue and could as well modernize and stretch Tinkers or whatever if they wished. Or not. It doesn't matter either way because it's just smoke. Tinkers don't exist, yet. I wish they did, though.

I really like this idea of a highly specialized Tech class focusing on Titan technology. We already have tons of those skills in game. I'd have loved an Azerite-based Tinker class more, but this works as well.

In that regard they could also introduce one or two new Titan based races like those Dwarfs and there you have a fitting race/class for an expansion like that.

I don't think there are any notable Runemaster NPCs in the game, outside maybe Ulduar at best, and even those are just filled bosses.

Tinker is the only iconic WoW class with pedigree and a noticeable place in the game left. Beyond that we are getting into increasingly obscure subvategories of classes, or multiclasses. Stuff like Priestess of Elune for a priest wielding bow. Or whatever Anduin is with his half paladin/half priest.

What argument? That Blizzard wants every class available to every race? They said so themselves and I think that we have enough proof in DF.

DHs for every race would probably become available when the Legion is relevant again. Evokers could happen at any time IMO.

But it is pointless to argue. Tinkers would not be in 11.0, so we might return to this conversation in two years.

Can you point to a class that has two different sets of abilities based on that class’ race?
Priests and Paladins used to have different skills in Vanilla (just two or three if I remember correctly), maybe even more classes. If the game were to have more lore consistency Sunwalkers and Paladins would probably be VERY different in many ways. The same would apply to other classes. As gameplay comes first, Tinkers would be available to all races with cosmetic choices for Mechas.

Yes, because we are discussing the probability of a class being available to a wide variety of races. A class that has zero hints of coming in 11.0 specificly. Unless you count the vague suspicion that we will get more support specs now that the concept had its test with augmentation

Class could be Titan tech-based but with glyphs for the goblin an gnome aesthetic but also glyphs for draenei and blood elf crystal tech. That or they do race-based class skins.

I guess you could do some mental gymnastics and say that it's "magic" because it's not a true anti-matter device, but rather a mumbo-jumbo hyper-injection fel matter anti-matter device. And because fel doesn't exist in the real world, it falls in the realm of "magic". But it sounds pretty mechanical to me.
This is called magitek or technomagic in high fantasy: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Magitek
    So, yeah, is tech.
