Those AI generated ones you guys posted afterwards have all the fake humans looking around aimlessly. The original pic is more convincing in that regard imo. Still, the added dall e images have shaken my belief it is legit for sure

Agreed. Just to emphasize your point, I dropped contrast, motion blurred and did a bit of lens distortion on your DALL-E image, and it's pretty much the same quality. Another thing to note is the posted image's dimensions are 1024x768. Bing and DALL-3 output at 1024x1024. We'd imagine this was taken with a phone on set, which would be a completely different vertical dimension. Too many fake signs.



I think the backlash on the zone pics is allowing people to believe anything that is even kind of believable.

This doesn't really look like Diablo IV in my opinion.

How so? I know Diablo tends to go for more of the blood reds, but it has had different main colour palettes before.

Yeah, it's crazy how it's all reversed. The WoW style is now harder to reproduce than an actual photo.
I have more faith in those 4 screenshots than in this stage photograph. Especially since roots are quite chaotic in nature and would be easy to fake.

Crazy how fast technology changes. By the time we get to Blizzcon 2025 I imagine AI generated images will only be truly caught by software designed to find them.

A few years and people will release a playable alpha build here to trick us

Im willing to believe that photo is fake, but if it its so good. Its better than those people quickly made in Dall E. It has better, more realistic depths. And framing and angle look like the one made photo stands kinda in the corner to sneak a shot.

I agree with both of these things. I think if AI created, they would've taken more time then Marlamin did just quickly repeating it on a guess prompt. This is just to show how easy it is to replicate that exact thing. It's a cool idea, but I don't think it's real.

Not sure any of those are valid points when working with AI, all of that can really be explained away by generating 4 more variants and waiting 20 seconds until you get one with those bits looking better or doing some postprocessing in Photoshop.

I know it's close to nothing, but found it interesting enough to share with some people who might be able to find out if there's a way to look under the black lines. (and those who are as excited as I am for the next expac)
