Midnight 12.X Patches & World Soul Saga Speculation Thread

Past BlizzCons haven't had set pieces that were obviously related to the next expansion, so we can't really say based off of this. However, it is interesting that they used this art for the video.

So far they've done one with Jaina in Stormwind, one with Thrall around Orgrimmar, and then the bronze dragons in their sand portal room.

Since they have some exhibit where you walk through the history of Warcraft, I would think that's what it's pointing at, not necessarily the next expansion.

But I wasn’t talking about you or about feeling, I was talking about people citing them as definitive proof haha. I have a feeling it’s not real also, but mostly that comes from a desire to see something better than that as a set/next expansion.

I’m just saying that I’ve been in many rooms that look exactly like that before in my life and I’m not seeing any DEFINITIVE smoking guns, and most of what I do see posted as definitive reasons can easily be explained.

The ONE thing I see that makes me think it’s real is that I’ve seen other Blizzard warehouse/sets with the same black containers with red lids.

They're about the same, the "leak" ones just have moss or some kind of aging along them. Maybe the cap under the orb is shaped slightly different but it's hard to tell from something that small and compressed.

That doesn't, mind you, support or disqualify it in any way.

They could be part of a broader Titan "kit" updated in DF to be used more often later (like demon updates in 6.2 -> Legion) or it could be a location outside of the theoretical new continent for a partial/full revamp, or it could be absolutely fake bullshit.

Fun if done right - yes, very much so. Fun if they still can't decide whether "One Legion across all realities or not" - not so much. I would rather they develop current batch of characters and fill gaps, than introduce the new one (now not in an afterlife, but in the past!)

Honestly I kind of understand any leak that has Avaloren AND another area(s) because it would explain why there aren't a lot of new things in the Avaloren zones (art team work spread out through different islands/continents)

In regards to features, I'm really hoping for cross armor type mogging. Between mogging naked and all these crazy cosmetic armor pieces and sets, it make no sense to not be able to do it.

Hell I can look like a straight up mage with the necrolord korthia gear and the low res purple witch hat cosmetic as a paladin

It will never happen, but I would love armor dyes.

Maybe the reason they didn't utilize the Bronze dragonflight that much in 10.x is because they realized it would be better to save all the timey-wimey stuff for 11.0. I know people like to shit on the idea of time travel in WoW because of WoD, but time travel was not the issue with that expansion. The time travel stuff introduced by Caverns of Time has always been really well-received by players.

I think BFA's Blizzcon had Lordaeron, but that's a location that's so ubiquitous you can tie it to anything, intro cinematic or not.
