'Tis the era of Discord. Just like League replaced WoW sometime around 2011 and everyone presumed that the massive crater around Cataclysm was 100% based on its quality, when it probably wasn't. Times change.

Sadly, people are always going to read what they want to from data without clear causality. Don't like DF's tone or theme? Clearly it was what turned people away, not people who didn't return from SL! You do like it? Well clearly it had no issues whatsoever and it's all on SL!

Like borrowed power systems? Clearly the lack of them is why people aren't playing, damn those streamers and poopsockers! Don't like them? Some other mental gymnastics will be found.

It’s not about the plot, it’s about the lack of hook. The fact that there’s neither lore nor character to hook the Avaloren concept is problematic.

There's plenty they can use to hook us into Avaloren.
Maybe Thrall, being the quintessential shaman clears the storms for us. Maybe Iridikron/Xal'atath/Azshara or other baddies are trying to use some Mcguffin on Avaloren to try and push back titan influence or corrupt the world soul etc.

It's been quite low compared to other threads. Half of Legion's to be exact. Then again, this leak season has been dry with esteem low after BFA and SL. At least the other chunk is hanging out in Classic+.

I dont agree, there is always a big push right before blizzcon. For example we reached 3k on the day of Blizzcon in 2019 with the last day adding 200+ pages

Azeroth is healing and we decide to go to Avaloren with Tir to chase Iridkron while he taunts the Titans to come.They do and see that Chromie fucked up the timeline by saving Nozdormu and Aman'Thul decides to blast Azeroth , so we have to fight against the titans with Illidan and Sargeras coming back on our side and Iridikron in a 3 way fight.

Every WoW expansion before had a hook before announcement. It’s amusing watching people try to pretend that it’s totally normal for Avaloren not to have one.

I dont think it makes it less fun necessarily, but i do feel bad when people see something that looks pretty convincing and happens to be exactly what theyre hoping the x-pack will be and get their hopes up

To be fair, that can happen with the OG style of "leaks" too though.

This would indeed be amazing. I know we'll be surprised about something at BlizzCon regardless as there's more stuff being announced than 11.0, but if 11.0 is completely out of left field that would only make it better.

My take remains that these are probably AI generated terrain bases (like someone prompted "wow zone") and then took those pictures and photoshopped in assets from a model viewer.

Is that even realistically possible? What kind of images come up if you ask an AI for a WoW zone anyways. ?

I’m 99% convinced they’re fake, I’d sleep better if the 1% wouldn’t be missing anymore though so please enlighten us.
