There was another account earlier that accused the Spiritborn account of being mage (which we know isn't the case). But it was a new account, added an orc avatar, but it was also created today. (Can't remember the name)

I suppose a bunch of that would depend on the company for worker checkpoints.

I know at a fencing/security company I worked at in Hawaii, for certain customers or locations everyone but the site manager had to turn in their phones, leave the phones at the office.

So "not being able to take pictures past employee checkpoint" could be a thing if they meet at the office and drive in as a group.

Does any of you have rl plans for blizzcon? I have reserved the day off like 2 months ago and am planning to arm myself with some powerful snacks before the even, maybe get some subway for the lunch preceding it.

The opening ceremony is like 5am on a Saturday here, so I might drag my sorry self out of bed on a few hours of sleep then crash again after. Very nostalgic.

You see, if he is a true worker, doing that could involve taking a high risk since there are probably many cameras around the event. Blizzard could easily use them to try to identify him, and he would have the worst nightmare of his life. So, I'm not sure if he or any of us want that to happen just to prove a point on a 'random' internet forum.

phones have to be off once we go beyond our worker id checkpoint. i could probably get away with a photo on thursday once everything is set up for the public, because that is when they have been abit "whatever" with the rules at past blizzcons i have worked on

Does your phone not work outside the convention center? Really easy to take a photo of your thumb and the convention center after you leave. Kinda sus.

The reason nothing is certain and there's barely any leak is because Blizzard really tightened up the screw this year. Security barriers already outside, non-workers can't really approach the building, all boxes and pallets are sealed until the very last moment, and they're checking for sneaky eyes glancing at the inventory or upcoming deliveries.

I don't know whether zugzug actually works at the Center or not, but so far what he says corresponds to stuff I've seen on my side of the work.

Again, I can't really speak for Zugzug, just personal experience.

Having to drive an hour to a site wasn't at all unusual, and if phones are at the office or locked up.

I'll admit, this wasn't common practice, but for military/National Guard, or prisons, or VIP customers this was a thing.

We do a lot of conventions for one of our biggest customers (they make the machines/robots that put the two halves of oreos together). Building up usually take 4-5 days. Breaking down 2-3 days. That's however with multiple companies and ofcourse a serious competition for forklifts and such.
On the supposed leaked Blizzcon image, there are some things missing you always see when building up. Flightcases, especially when it's like Blizzcon with lots of lighting. Could be they install these later but that's doubtful. And no crates at all, just cardboard boxes. I guess the setpieces are made of foam of some sort. Although they are very light, damage is bound to happen during transport and cardboard won't protect it. You would absolutely pack it in wooden crates to prevent that.

So, I’ve worked on many that use predominantly cardboard boxes, and often no wooden crates at all. That being said, you are 100% correct that it would be likely for an event like Blizzcon with all their money, and I’m actually kicking myself for not considering that earlier. I would expect a lot of different containers also. That’s an awesome catch and one of, if not the best, reason I’ve seen so far for it being fake. Nice point! Thanks! This brings me relief because I keep thinking how uninspired the image and set looks there.

i have no reason to make you all believe me. i came in here, said i am working on the set, saw a banner i didn't recognize as a player of the game, asked if it rang a bell to anyone and have been trying to make sense of it since. and have since been discussing working on these events. that is all. i know fuck all about 11.0. all i know is this banner i thought looked very unique.
