honestly at this point with the blizzcon map, it seems just like assets for Corridor of Time and not rrlated to nex expac (I assume otherwise they wouldnt put even the name of the area on the layout if it was spoilery)

Could be nothing, but i really do love time travel plots as long as there is no infinite legion thing.

Honestly. What if 11.0 is War of the ancients period. We go back to massive 1.5x size of Dragon Isles Kalimdor. Obviously it would be nice if it were bigger, but lets be realistic here.

What this also allows for is asset development for World Revamp.

Probably that. But i would love to experience the War of the ancients. Perhpas Azshara/Xal'atath/Knaifu need to go back to retrieve and artifact for their plans.

WHY is there a location just like that on the BlizzCon Map?

I would say probably like a museus/display area for Warcraft

Looking at the Blizzcon map I think the Corridor of time is just to seperate Retail and Classic areas.

One issue is the Chronicle map of pre-sundering Kalimdor is messy to line up with the current map. Azshara was supposed to be on the shore of the Well of Eternity originally, but the Chronicle map is really too big for that.

The closest they've done is in the Suramar cinematic, but even in that the artist ended up mistaking the Wandering Isle for land and fusing it onto Jade Forest, so it's not supposed to be closely looked at.


Some things seem cool and make sense, though, like Coldarra being next to Winterspring. Both are snowy and have blue dragons.

Why would they have one of those? It's not an anniversary year. Posters and statues can easily just be attached to the outer walls of the room, for some cool sights.

This is specifically a corridor of time, which looks like a video they just posted, right after Chromie (featured) helped save a restored Nozdormu (featured).

I just can't shake the idea that there's something more to this.

Like...

- A new game, "Warcraft: Legends", in which we time hop to cool points in time and play. New "legends" can be added over time to keep the game evergreen.

- A WoW expansion, "Warcraft: Whatever", in which the Old Gods won and ushered in the Hour of Twilight because of Chromie's dealings in 10.1.5. Now, the Bronze dragonflight is all that stands between us and the destruction of Azeroth. We need to travel to specific points in time and do X in order to achieve X. Change the timeline? Pluck out the Old Gods from existence? Find artifacts? Bring back key people that can help us defeat them? Who knows. Hell, there are 5 portals in the video. Could be for 5 Old Gods.

- A WoW Classic update, essentially "Classic+", that resets the timeline or perhaps explores new timelines in every expansion, through the corridors of time.

Might be just a new installation that they want to do in blizzcon from now on, or because there hasn't been an IRL blizzcon in a while. Or as someone said as a separator for Retail and Classic area

They used Chromie to announce wow classic in the first place and since then Classic has become pretty important to them. We know they are announcing some form of Classic fresh servers so someone thought that this is a neat way of seperating the two demo areas and have people "time travel".
