Somebody posts an obviously fake AI image: the thread goes nuts for a week, analysing every little detail and bending itself backwards to make it fit.

Blizzard themselves uploads stuff that seems a little suspicious: the thread goes "naah, there's nothing to this and I don't understand why anybody would waste their time on this".

But its not suspicious tho.

I don't remember any H vs A stuff in BFA outside of war campaign, one raid and rare warfronts(ok maybe nazjatar). We spent like 314 days with Black Empire farming corruptions and essences for magni, 200 days raiding Azshara, 3 months of killing ghun with crusible of storm opening in less than 3 months after Battle of Dazaralor release.

While this architecture is quite weird, it looks like it has realistic proportions, with rock textures fitting the style of modern expansions, ingame water, and trees and biomes that fit the two zones from the four screenshot leak.

To be fair, I really like this one. It seems like a good place to chill, a twilight's athmosphere is what I would embrace in it's entirety - just a little bit more of the pinks and violets and it would be perfect!

The general consensus is that making a screenshot of a WoW zone is extremely difficult with AI gen, and that images like these are much more likely made with level editors, of which we have had good examples of for years.

Personally I find it hard to believe this image. Not because I couldn't see a zone with this colour palette, and architecture with this style. But because the zone doesn't seem like it would be intuitive to play in this form.
Even with dragonriding likely being carried forwards, there simply doesn't seem to be any roads to get to the places we see here, which suggests to me a lack of cohesive level design.

We already had mountains terrains that had to be accessed through caverns, or even mountainous breach like this vrykul village at Legion.
Moreover, there is a path that can be seen in the mountain, I would expect it to be shaped like this:

Isn't it also the case with most areas in WoW, though? On contrary I would say they have more details compared to what we generally have.

Not to that degree.
In leaked screenshot those nearest rocks look offensively painted on. Maybe Blizzard just dropped the ball, and those are real, but i hope not.

Yeah I can agree on that point. All leaked image so far had very boring skyboxes notably bellow the quality of skybox they've had since MoP. Looks like placeholder art, which is something we've seen in previous alphas in non-finished areas, but has no particular reason to be late on the pipeline.

The amount of negativity and constant whining on this forum never ceases to amaze. Sometimes I wonder if they just enjoy shitting on the game just for the lols regardless of what happens or what someone posts. It's quite annoying and just plain childis at this point.

There is a running theory that since we went in the past and faced N'Zoth during the timeline event, N'Zoth foresaw his own death at our hands and began putting machinations in place to avoid it. So it is quite possible that N'Zoth will be back in the near future.

As someone who is on construction sites on a regular basis, yes, you absolutely can just walk into a construction site and look around lmao. I do it all the time.

wow became a game more and more attracting a „specific“ kind of ppl. and wow’s game design more and more supports that. the most real wow crowd ppls long ago left the ship and what’s leftover is a childish kindergarten of ppls, not worth coming here for. so, the best you can do, is to just adapt yourself, no longer coming to MMOC with the high hopes of cool informations or interesting discussions. that times are long over imo.

because this maybe can read like somewhat sarcastic or missread as offensive: i mean the above seriously. it’s imo just a waste of time coming to MMOC these days. the great golden glory wow times are long over. all you find here is the retail and classic 2023 crowd. the „normal“ wow ppls, worth taking a word with, are gone since a good while. there is nothing worth your time to find here imo, so it’s best to just stay away instead of wasting your time reading all that BS (including mine here). or just come here every few weeks to just grab a quick „upgrade“, like i do.

I think it's inevitable he will return. BfAs ending was hardly beloved, and it's not a complete asspull to make him return when there are so many avenues you could take on why precisely he survived. Some of which was even pointed out before the raid.

Why the hell do they put all of their storytelling into lore books and not in game so everybody can at least experience it? It‘s such a horrible take to have all these characters that make not much sense in game just to see they got a personality, but only when you’re consuming 100 different mediums for lore.

Because the books are the only way to actually get PoV scenes and internal monologue with these characters? It's a different, and better medium to tell stories.

From reddit user u/spicy_sean_spicer, whose account has been unused for 3 years. His account shows interest in both California politics as well as WoW, which makes it believable for him to be working at Blizzard studios. He also hasn't shown much artistic quality in his messages, so it would be extremely surprising if he managed to create this scenery through fan-made modding tools.
