I regret to inform you guys that i was way off about this banner. first of all, its now hanging in the darkmoon faire area. so it's not 11.0 related. secondly, it's not an elf, it's a fucking troll.

it's a female troll holding 5 hearthstone cards by the looks of it, and the cards are purple with golden details... the eyes are purple and smokey, she has a smirk, her skin is pale blue.

To be fair that still sounds interesting. Not for WoW, but could be interesting for Hearthstone.

Went and looked it up, it actually looks kind of impressive for a custom project. Even looks like they've pulled off player housing.

Final patch of MoP was about orcs, that was followed by WoD
Final patch of WoD was all about demons, that lead into Legion

Next expansion Emerald Dream confirmed?

Generally the last patch gives very strong hints about the last expansion until Shadowlands which didn't really, but they wanted to do the narrative time gap

Given that the last patch is coming after blizzcon, which is unusual timing - it's not likely to make a difference this time

sorry to get hopes up. but i atleast tried to play it down as much as i did say i saw it for 4 seconds being rolled up. and it was somewhat see-through on the grey floor so it was hard to see properly. her tusks likely matched the floor so well that i didn't see them.

I've been playing around with some AI today to attempt to recreate an image like the newer leak from the reddit screenshot and so far have had no luck replicating something that looks similar to an in-engine Warcraft screenshot.

Now, I'm not really the best at AI art stuff like manipulating prompts or anything nor do I know how to generate an image from another image, if that is possible with DALL-E and the Bing AI? So I could just suck but... While I still do think that one is fake due to some visual inconsistencies and other weirdness, I shouldn't have been so quick to call it instantly AI generated.

If I manage to make something similar maybe I'll post it as a reference.
