And they have certainly something up in store for Classic. If the next expansion is some kind of asspull Avaloren trash, there’s still the next iteration of Classic (SoM) or even Cataclysm coming (Cataclysm right at launch was amazing with the very hard heroic dungeons and one of the best new dungeon slates in general - the launch raids were great, too).

I mean, obviously players are a lot smarter than they were 10 years ago during Cata's launch. We're not dealing with "Wrath babies" anymore, especially since the new crowd prefers a much harder game.

Wrath Classic did introduce the Titan Rune system with catch up mechanics along with making the dungeons harder.. my question is would Blizzard continue that system into Cata Classic even with the original Heroic dungeons from launch?

The website leak is fake. Littered with numerous spelling and grammer, as well as horrible run on sentences that would never be ad copy on a website selling a product.

Yeah, but that may also not be the playable race thats in the image.

I never thought it was. That thing has giant fist claws that would get in the way of every piece of gear.

You are right. I would personally be very disappointed, at least at first. We’ll just have to wait and see! Edit: also, apologies if I came across as rude/condescending with my posts. Was certainly not my intention!

Indeed, that certainly threw me off. Either they’re supposed to be different things, or that creature got a massive redesign in a very short timeframe!

That said, I feel like we're probably do for a no class expac this time, but probably new Specs for existing. Maybe just 2-3 at the start but the promise of a few more through out. I think Augvokers release mid-expansion was a nice surprise and the concept and idea of a brand new spec coming about was well received.

Much as I want a new class, we're still trying to recuperate from Augmentation being added in.. and there are still several other specs that probably in a dire need of changes in the next expansion.

So, I doubt we'll get a new class until they fix a lot of issues that other classes are going through.... Remember, it wasn't until 10.1 that they had to completely rework paladins and later on Mages.. and now they're doing reworks for Demon Hunters and Rogues for 10.2

These aren't the staples of a major patch. All a patch needs to be a major patch is a raid with more than 6 bosses. Remember Uldir? That was a full raid tier & sesson.

It certainly could be fake. I only saw the 'defence' argument, which isn't really enough to convince me at this stage.

I don't mind either way, but most people seem to want it to be fake, and I hope the expac pleases as many of us that it can.

Uldir was the launch raid not a patch.

We haven’t had a major patch with just a raid since Ulduar or Toc if you don’t count the world content.

The fact that the oldest object in the image, which if using the existing old model would really show it's age and tip off it's fake, is so far in the background, and the images are so small to begin with to help obscure any off details should really be setting off alarm bells.

I cant remember who did it but someone did a more in depth comparison and apparently it doesnt line up with the Aerie Peak statue something about the chest.

I took another look to at the Aerie Peak bird statue and compared again to the "leak". They don't really match. Some of the things I've noticed are:

-Wings are further back in the "leak" statue than the Peak one
-Head is held higher while Peak one is somewhat looking down.
-Chest is lower in the "leak" than the peak.
-Neckline creates a V in the "leak" while it's straighter in the peak.
-Slightly longer beak in the "leak". Even trying all angles around the peak doesn't reach that length. Image CAN be stretched though, so I wouldn't put stock into this point.
-Different feather texturing especially around the arm(wing?)pit area.

I don't think it's the same statue. it doesn't mean it's not fake, but the statue came from somewhere else.

Also, has the animal model in the 4th pic been found yet?

Why would the spider kingdom or even undermine have to do with iridikron's plan

Seems to me all he has to do is assault one specific underground area where the world soul is located not random underground areas spread around the planet

Plus how does Eonar, Elune, and Ysera fit in any of this?

More support specs need to be brought in to balance out Augmentation, and honestly make support a legitimate role separate from DPS, Healing, or tank.

Btw, you’ll probably see a few 4th specs as well. They might be staggered though like Augmentation was.

So, yeah. I don't think think a new class is likely, but we are 100% getting new specs. The reason I don't see a new class is exactly because of Augmentation being needed. They aren't going to add in another class or spec that is required to fill a certain role. Like, just adding in one more support class isn't going to fix the problem, it's just going to mean every M+ or raid is going to need one of these two classes.

So I think a 4th spec for some classes is possible.

Would be good to get some more specs for classes. Things like a Shaman Tank, Support DH (based around using fel magic to debuff targets instead of directly buffing players like Aug).

I mean look at Ysera, she's been building up some shit since legion and it seems like it's about to reach it's climax in 11.0 since she hasn't done anything worthwhile in DF. Not to mention the murloc pet too

What about Azshara? Can't imagine her have any interest in an underground exp.
