Yes, that does make sense, again, the characters acted like their own selves, not a hivermind, they act like they want to, stupidly, arrogantly, full of pride or ego, this is what happen in real world when a battalion or a group goes rogue or against the upper orders, because their own agenda or other reason, this is organic and believable, this makes sense in a context where civilians, soldiers or generals don't have meta knowledge about warcraft lore like players do.

The generals don't have knowledge that the Lich King, the guy who was ravaging Northrend with his undead soldiers that he raised from corpses, the guy you are literally trying to assault RIGHT NOW can raise undead soldiers from corpses?

It was what happened in cataclysm, yeah there was a big dragon going to tear the world apart, but the groups were worried about the lack of resources and need to expand their own land by trampling on the enemy faction or other neutral enemies(centaurs, quilboars, gnolls), they need to do it for survival. This is the concept of "world of warcraft".

Again, it will always make sense, people people, the civlians, the groups, tribes, clans and kingdoms work different, with their own motivations, they don't have meta knowledge like players do about "void lords" and "war is bad"

The moment any of the tribes start a faction war, they become outcasts because the faction leader(s) obviously don’t support this. And as soon as those instigators become a fringe group it isn’t a faction war anymore.

Neither Alliance nor Horde with the recent leadership will ever allow a faction war to happen.

With them giving up on strict separation between horde and alliance, I would actually want them to drop the ideas of two faction completely. From the very start it was just a gameplay necessity, it didn't make much sense to have Night Elves be Alliance and Undead Horde. But now that we've established that factions can work together, even if their leaders are not best friends, why keep it?

With two factions you are restricted to peace or faction conflict, and each faction has a "leader" that may not represent their interest. I doubt Night Elves feel like Turalyon is "their man".

With loosening the "faction identity" they can develop much more interesting stories, where alliances can change over time. Instead of factions as such, we could have meaningful reputations. For example, you could be a human who befriends the undead, at the cost of you reputation amoungst worgen.

Orcs should have good relationship with taurens and trolls, goblin - mostly normal. Hate humans (all of them - I mean KT, SW, Gilneas), cold reception of forsaken and so on.
Like they care two shits about Draenei, why they should battling? NE (bc of NE hate of orcs)- sure, but draenei? Or Gnomes? They didn't know they exist at first place.

Multi-faction world would be awesome. Comes to Plaguelands - no Alliance/Horde shit, just Scourge or Argents.
Comes to Tanaris - 0 faction presence, just pirates and goblins.
And after all this years - wielder of Shadowmourne, Warglaives, Thoridal, killer of Arthas, Ragna, KT, Jailer, Deathwing; savior of Pandaria, slayer of Archimonde and KJ, conqueror of Argus - is not welcome to Ironforge, despite been Darkspear troll or Blood Elf?

Nobody is saying the the Titans are suddenly baddies. Very little changed in their demeanor, considering back in WotLK we had to fight against them wiping the planet clean, because of impurities.
